Alrighty, so here is my opinion.
The Game is frankly, in its current state. A bit boring.
It's not really clear on how to start off. Trading is rough, and you can get into fights against enemies way above your weight class, and mining is extremely time consuming.

However, that doesn't mean I would recommend against getting this game. You can grow into massive fleets, RTS style. You can custom build your own ships, and you are given a ton of freedom with it as well. It has multiplayer aspects and singleplayer aspects. You can build your own faction, get new weapons, and keep upgrading your ships. You can spend hours just redesigning your ship trying to get one that you like the most, and unlocking new technology that you can use to further the ships even more. If that sounds good to you, go ahead and get it!

For the dev, if you are reading this. Here are some recommendations you can use if you want.

I recommend adding quests you can get from each station, of various difficulties. That way you can give people who are just starting a bit more guidance. There is already an attempt at this, but they are normally quite high in difficulty or are trading tasks that require you to find a station that sells that particular item, with no way of knowing where that item may be.

I also recommend adding some more random events, say if you travel to another system you could end up finding two factions engaging in war. Joining one and assisting them could lead to benefits if they won. Or running into a few eldritch beings or giant living alien ships.

Maybe a few wormholes you can travel through to end up somewhere random in the galaxy.

In game note taking, that players can loot from each others ships.

I'm a bit tired so I'm ending here. I'll change more of this review as updates go on.
