Fun in short bursts with friends, more comedic than horror based- ultimately a let down in its monetization and use of generative AI.

This is a glorified walking sim disguised as a detective game. The crime scene investigations are a paint by numbers sequence that give you 0 time to think before your character (or their assistant) shouts out "TIME TO USE MY X TOOL-". You can't get the answers wrong if you tried, and any decisions you make are just illusionary as you're guided toward the end.

The worst part about this experience has to be the story though- once you embrace you're along for a linear ride and you try to enjoy the story being set up, you just get let down. You can lean X or Y directions during the game, express how political, how capitalist, how loyal, how etc you are- but none of it matters in the end, and you end up with a lukewarm ending that ultimately feels like it doesn't mean much.

Everything you love about the first game and more. They've elevated the art style, mechanics, and generally increased the amount of content.

Fantastic roguelite game.

The game has been and can be incredibly fun, both solo and with friends- but monthly battlepasses being a priority for the dev team has made it an absolute joke.

The game is critically unstable, causing crashes constantly and making it impossible to play for weeks at a time.

Bug fixes often only introduce more bugs, and bugs reportedly fixed are still in the game months and years later.

The devs constantly nerf a majority of the weapons into the ground, only to release new, objectively better, weapons in new paywalled warbonds. Meanwhile they artificially buff enemies to spot you through walls, shoot you through walls, track you unfairly mid attack, and spam things like grenades to lock you in a ragdolled state.

AH needs to do better.
