It has an interesting story behind it, but the lack of autosaves and weird insta kill dialogue choices sucked all the fun out of the game.

Can't recommend enough,

funny characters with some unexpected plot twists in their character arcs.
Not a standard xcom clone either, every character has very unique abilities and when used well can severely dial back the amount of turns you need to complete a lvl.

It's a fun little game, definitely an achievement for a (mostly) solo developer.
Pretty short for it's price tag and with a lot of underutilised features (we only saw conveyor belts twice)
and the different worlds only had a different background and maybe a new magnet.
A more distinct environmental hazard might have sold this better.

That said the puzzles aren't the hardest but are pretty inventive and creative.
I also really like the art style and how polished it is.

Still no update on lifting the delisting in countries that cannot create a PSN, let's see Snoy put their money where their mouth is.

Never expected this game to still get good DLC and significant content additions so long after it's release.

It's never a good sign when you open a game for the first time and you're immediately on the brink of being nautious (you only get to make a first impression once after all).

Not that the graphics are that bad but for some reason the default settings with sliders are all maxed out.
This means that the game starts with the max FOV of 120 and a very sensitive camera.
luckily turning this down to more standard values and disabling bloom makes for a pretty game.

It's a shame it uses some of the more convoluted ideas I already encountered and hated in DSP. More specifically and especially the crafting of conveyor belts and buildings in your inventory. IMO if you have the components in your inventory you should be able to place the building without needing to wait for another crafting order to complete (or at the very least let us start the crafting order by using the key on the hotbar if we don't have any more available), it's just tedious and only makes you spend more time in the crafting screens.

Which brings me to my last complaint, some of the menu screens have a different look (and even sound, for example the schematics screen) than the others. The schematics screen uses more of the available screen space and is one of the more enjoyable to look at.

All things mentioned are taking into account that this is an early access game.

All that said I'm, not entirely sure whether I'll refund this game or not.

I refunded this game twice!

I bought the game downloaded it and refunded when it refused to launch (after doing a bit of troubleshooting).
On 16/12/22 a hotfix supposedly fixed this so I bought the game again, downloaded it and when trying to run it Ubisoft connect comes asking for a key. Google searches and browsing on the steam discussions didn't provide an answer either.

Good game, awesome combat, beautifull dungeons (didn't get to see outside environments yet but my expectations are high), good/fitting soundtrack, interactive environment, fun game modes and this is Just the precursor game meaning that a bigger game just like this is coming ^^. Buy it to support the devs or just for your own fun, mayne even both.

20/10 For stumbling in a pile of stairs and getting one stuck around my neck ^^
