Oblivion may not be as advanced as Skyrim, but in my opinion it's still much better. When you join a guild or faction in Oblivion, you slowly work your way up to the top. When you join a guild in Skyrim, you are super important right from the start. For example, The Dark Brotherhood in Skyrim has you as the listener right after the first couple of grunt quests. In Oblivion, you don't become the listener until the very end, after you've poured your heart and soul into completing every quest. This is just one example, all of Skyrim's guilds are like this. Oblivion makes you work for your success, its storyline is better, and the overall feel of it is much more memorable. Skyrim is a good game, Oblivion is a FANTASTIC game, 10/10 would erase my memory and play Oblivion all over again. So before you buy any other game, STOP RIGHT THERE CRIMINAL SCUM, get Oblivion GOTY Edition.

There are even mods for graphics, Bruno. Elven Map Redux looks quite nice, especially with some new icons! Skyrim will still look nicer but only because it is newer. It isn't like Oblivion looks awful.

In my opinion:

Skyrim vs Oblivion

graphics: skyrim > oblivion
Main story: oblivion > skyrim
guilds: oblivion > skyrim
side quests: oblivion > skyrim
cities and Npc's: oblivion > skyrim
enemys: oblivion > skyrim
soundtrack: skyrim > oblivion
map: skyrim > oblivion
difficulty: oblivion > skyrim

From a huge fan of skyrim, i think oblivion is better! to bad that doesn't have skyrim graphics!

p.s - sorry for my bad english xd
