Incredible game that somehow managed to exceed my already high expectations. Combat is challenging, and forces you to constantly learn and adapt, picking from a wide array of 'charms' to bolster various styles and techniques. Permanent abilities are also unlocked as you progress through the game.

Great story and exploration - i explored pretty thoroughly on my initial completion and still found myself discovering numerous things id missed when replaying. Theres also countless little touches that truly bring the game to life. Great atmospheric soundtrack, with a unique and charming artstyle that belies the games intensity.

This game is basically Ori meets Dark Souls, and jumps straight into my top games of all time.
