Oh HellDivers 2, my only pre-order since I got burned in middle school by No Man's Sky. The near 200 hours I put in this game have been genuinely fun. Good guns, fun stratagems, great community. That was until the games engine started to creak and sputter under the pressure of added content.

My friend group's ability to play this game has been destroyed. I have several friends who cannot play the game without compromising the integrity of their computers. I've seen content creators have their computers destroyed by the constant freezing and computer death spiral when the game engine destroys itself. While I had no such issue, I cannot in good faith recommend a game so overloaded that it will force a hard shutdown if those issues arise. I understand the problems with the game engine, and how it is practically being built alongside the game. Yet I cannot fathom how a rollback on updates hasn't been initiated.

This is without mentioning the egregious actions of ArrowHead toward their community and content creators. So eager to ensure only good information comes out about the game, that they will silence and threaten any creator in their program. As they will ignore and delay speaking to creators about the poor state of the game. Leaving only public whistleblowing as a tactic to air grievances. Stonewalling any ability for good faith criticism to be aired. Using silence on updates and vague "Patches coming soon ^TM"

My final straw for this review was watching Eravin's* video on how the management at arrowhead completely dropped the ball on a quality content creator. It's genuinely pathetic how cocky and arrogant ArrowHead seems to be in regards to those who genuinely love their game.

I have personally uninstalled the game and I have little faith as of October 16, 2025 that major improvements to both the game engine and ArrowHead's treatment of their community will improve.

It was fun while it lasted, Helldiver.

I never liked visual novel games, like most others here. I had this game on my radar for a few months and decided to pick it up.

This review is immediately after my first play through.

I started to write but realized that this game needs to be experienced. A few bullet points may help your decision.

* Pick your own adventure
* This game does watch you as you play, or rather choose. That reflection is your making alone.
* I teared up, so that's something.
* I will say with my entire heart, play this game.

You want a quality co-op game fighting tyranids? THIS IS THE GAME FOR YOU BROTHER

I love this game in single player. No doubt about it

MULTIPLAYER. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
So, you can't save multiplayer games... Why? Why in gods name can you not save a multiplayer game. Me and a friend spent 6 hours in a game just to be lost the very next day.

I love this game, it's similar to factorio.

Buyer beware, you bought your whole graphics card, and this game is going to use every single Mhz.

Ohohoho, where do I start? it's god awful. Like jesus christ on a cross being pelted with tomatos bad.

I love this TYPE of game. So why didn't I? The controls are god awful and the frames were scarcer than a good hair day for Donald.

this game can be chaos, BUT. If you play your cards right with a clan or squad this game will become a true masterpiece. Absolutely would buy.

Jalopy, a game for people who love driving places and doing things. I may have refunded jalopy twice because of the bugs but now I can say that Jalopy will be a great addition to my library. Absolutely Brilliant game, definite purchase. For euro truckers especially.
