Honestly, I overall recommend the game. It's fun, looks good, and slaughtering hordes of tyranids specifically is very satisfying. However, there are some VERY obvious issues and parts of the game that could really use a rework, which is why the negative review. Unfortunately sometimes such a review is needed to have issues be brought to light. The problems with the game can be seperated into PvP and PvE categories.

PvE:
- Parrying does not seem to be consistent. It often feels great and you're able to get the parry and counter off which feels really good, but fairly often it just does not seem to work, Parrys can just not actually block attacks at times and the enemies just get right through, and I am not meaning the unblockable attacks.
- Melee combat against large swarms needs some form of balancing, as even if you're managing to parry attacks and get the armor regenerating counters, you're immediately being shanked by the small trash enemies that do considerable damage considering you literally can't stop all their attacks. Later game you will just get shredded without much you can do. I don't know if this means adjusting enemy melee damage or having some sort of other protection mechanic when engaging in melee with swarms, but it needs something cause honestly melee just feels awfully disadvantaged at times.
- Enemy ranged damage, Seriously, wtf. You will often lose ALL of your armor in moments as multiple ranged enemies just laserbeam you at a distance. Add this to the mix while your're trying to combat a melee swarm surrounding you (and the previously mentioned issue with melee combat) and it just get's unreasonable at times.
- I like having more than just tyranids to fight, but chaos quickly becomes unsatisfying to face. Brutally slaughtering swarms of tyranid causing bloodbaths was a huge part of the fun, so changing the the chaos enemies is a slight disappointment, especially with the chaos marines dying in a puff of dust. While it is not really a negative as it fits the story of the game, it would be nice to see enemies that serve the other chaos gods in PvE rather than just those under Tzeentch. Just a personal preference but worth mentioning.

PvP:
- Once again the melee attacks are an issue, but for a different reason. They're just entirely inconsistent. Sometimes people will be unstoppable and slice through enemies with ease and other times it is like you're slapping people with a slightly wet towel. I honestly do not know what is causing it, but it's just all over the place. Combine this with the fact that parrying is pretty much useless and the lack of the counters present in PvE and it's just not fun most of the time.
- Damage overall seems a bit off and could use some balancing. Once again, it just feels inconsistent fight to fight.
- Unlock requirements are kind of just sad. Yeah it is reasonable to say the game could use more cosmetics currently, but to me it's pretty fine. Unlocking them however is just pretty uninspiring, being purely behind "win X many games". It lacks variety and also results in zero progress during defeats. It's also unclear how it works as the "win X games with Y gun" does not really explain the specifics; can you use multiple classes during a win and get credit for them all, does it only count for the most used class? While this is under PvP it is also relevant to the operations game mode.
- Chaos needs more customization like wtf
- Announcer voice lines need more diversity, as well as for specifically capture and control, not trigger every bloody second since the zone will go in and out of control in this mode and the announcers incessantly spam the same voice lines over and over again

Again, overall I have been thoroughly enjoying the game for the most part. Sadly, these negatives are just very apparent and do affect the experience of the game, so hopefully enough people raise their concerns and the devs could do some tweaking. The game could be a near-masterpiece, it just needs a little more work to get there.

I know it's in alpha and will change the review going forward but man, this feels rough. Was a fan of the first one but playing this just feels so clunky, slow, and awkward. Honestly the presentation such as the way it looks, the UI, menus, etc is just lacking as well. Feels way behind where it is supposed to be but I really hope it picks up with time, but for now it's a no from me chief.

Gameplay and movement is very fast, idk what all the people are saying lol. I never played the beta but if it was any faster I'd need to be put on medication

I begrudgingly recommend this game because it's good but ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ who designed the Steeltown battles? You think there was enough? Jesus Christ it was the longest drawn out questline I have ever played, especially if you go non-lethal like it encouraged you to do. It was fun at first, a nice change of pace, but it was at least 3 times as long as it needed to be and by the time I was on the FIRST robot battle at the Computation Engine, I was just trying to rid my life of seeing another second of Steeltown.

Early Access Review
The game itself looks really good and I still want to try it, but ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ the developers made a god awful launcher, I can not even get the game to open up without a plethora of errors. Mix that in with all the controversy surrounding the devs and their scammy actions, this seems like a potentially good game being handled by a bunch of amateurs. Do better.

Great game, negative reviews seem to be people who have never played a free trading card game before.
