I highly recommend this game because it's fun with friends and the devs and has mod support so you can find pretty much any Tabletop game you can think of. The devs are also getting absolutely review bombed because they have a particular stance on a subject and people are butthurt about it. Wouldn't have mentioned that last part normally but I wanted the devs to know most people with common sense who don't care about internet drama support the game and its devs and will continue to enjoy it.

Another game to add to my list of "favorite games of all time", very hyped for the sequel and would love to wishlist it so I know the exact day it comes out!

Stood in one place to scratch my nose during the latest person of interest contract, guard runs into me and instantly goes into arrest mode, in a panic I run and eventually get shot and killed because the devs chose not to include the option to climb over the edge of one of the balconies despite every level giving the player this option.

Yes, I'm pissed.

This is a journey into money, loads of money.

This is a game built on the Raycasting engine which attempts to bring fantasy into the "Wolfenstein 3D" setting, You'll find a somewhat good sized variety of levels, enemies, and a few weapons to mess with throughout the game. Enemies do constant damage when touching you, however, they have different ways of moving so you can kill them before they get too close, some of the sound design seems to be created by the author which shows (Not in a bad way necessarily) though it is unknown if the sprite and texture work is the author's work.

There are some negatives though, due to the nature of the Raycasting engine you will often bump and get stuck on the wide variety of objects in the levels and will take some getting used to. The mouse speed also is a problem but the author did state that it can be changed by altering your mouse DPI settings outside of the game (Inconvenient). I also don't get the whole thing with the pages scattered around every level even after reading the included story on the menu.

Overall it isn't a bad game for $2.99, great time waster or if you're looking for something new to play without breaking the bank then grab this game. If all the work that has been put into it is indeed the author's doing then you'd also be buying him/her a coffee for their hard work which is always nice.

Had the potential to be a great sequel and it shows in the environments of the updated engine but is another horror shooter clone for its time with nothing special to bring to the table.

Game has unforgettable and cliche characters who either die too fast to care about (Shock value) or do nothing to develop their stories not to mention stupid characters in general, cliche and predictable story that you can see a mile away or plot points that exist for pure shock/twist value, dumbed-down mechanics with the removal of leaning, the precise special melee attacks, and health upgrades to name a few, the AI has also been dumbed-down and purely exist as standing bullet sponges instead of fast moving targets that think for themselves and their squads with the environment in mind, annoying enemy design from things that latch onto you constantly to things that swarm and hit you in the back repeatedly, and finally we have the addition of the annoying quick time events (Some of the single button press actions are cool/immersing but combat/boss ones are not.)

Coming from someone who is a gigantic fan of FEAR and its expansions I can honestly say that this game was a major disappointment as well as angering to play at its worst. If you are a huge fan of FEAR 1 and don't mind seeing the franchise slowly decline before your eyes then grab this game on sale, if you'd like to keep the FEAR franchise in good memory then stick with the first game and its expansions.

After the recent update the enemy spam problem at the end I ran into wasn't as bad as it was before, I actually replayed it recently and surprisingly had way more fun than I had when I played a few years ago and am now more hooked on the game.

The game itself is in a finished state and has mod support albeit slow-going as of late but still kicking. I'm hoping instead of new content the devs just expand on modding and the tools so people can do crazier things.

Anyhow, despite my review before being negative I can't recommend this game enough in its current state and highly suggest you check it out!
