Just stop playing after reaching the plains biome; it's as good as the game will ever get (which isn't good to begin with). Together with the already introduced awful gameplay decisions (player terrain collision, less-than-basic combat, enemies on rules-for-thee-but-not-for-me rails with regards to stamina and collision, enemies spawning in within your full view), the other biomes simply aren't worth your time and effort.

1.0 is out after more than 11 years! Sadly turns out it's just A21 with worse performance.

If my relationship can survive this game, it can survive everything.

Expensive tech demo released after Early Access in a barely functioning state

Age of War but far more complicated and long

Play this game for the story, characters and graphics (10/10).
The rest (e.g. combat, parkour) is pretty bad and inconsistent (<4/10).
DLC story is about 3h (?) of gameplay, a nice addition to the main story but nothing special (7/10).

An old PC port. You can tell by about every frame it skips for no reason.

The story's not very good or engaging, the graphics aren't very good (but hey it's an old game so that's alright), the controls are clunky and counter-intuitive. The auto saves are a hit and miss, they'll either keep triggering every time you pass a certain spot or they're going to be 3 rooms apart with a mined section that'll detonate from the other side of the hall.

I'm sure this might be a good game for those who are already into the Deux Ex franchise, but as a first time player of Deus Ex games I can't in good conscience recommend this game. I'll wrap up the story, finish the game and let it gather dust in the bin afterwards.

I am not going to finish the game. Having gotten to The Missing Link, this game keeps going for much longer than it can keep playing it interesting.

Played this last in 2018. Stopped after the first portion of the map as the second portion was a complete recycle of the first.
