You want to play 1999? Sure!!! no problem!!! JUST:

-Play 50 required main quests
-Grind materials for said quests
-Go to university and get a degree
-Finally confess your love to that one girl you been hanging out with
-Travel the earth
-Go to the Olympics and get a gold medal
-Grind a ton and level up your equipment (because you have story missions to do)
-Finally read that book you been wanting to read
-Get a job
-Bake a cake
-Go to India and become a monk
-Come back
-Go through the 5 stages of grief over not being able to play 1999 (literally me last night as I was doing a quest I had no interest in doing)
-Uninstall

WHAT I'm trying to say is... Yeah you can't play 1999. IF you kept up with the story, yes. But not if you dropped it a few years back. You'll find yourself looking at a quest guide and realise you just want to play 1999 and not all this other stuff that's required out of you. Advertising made 1999 look self contained, shame!!! But I hope the hardcore fans are enjoying it.

nice atmosphere throughout, cozy game! Dev added toggle option for one of the abilities after I asked, so i'll upvote :)

some really cool ideas here, especially the mech fighting, I wish the game had gotten time to develop that system. Game is rather poorly balanced I feel. the difficulty curve was bonkers... overall game coulda used polish and QoL. Main character controls very stiff. Bosses lack proper telegraphy and are an onslaught of attacks that you cant make sense out of. I still beat it all but it was a frustrating experience at times. It would be really cool if they made a second game and fleshed it out with more content and time to let it breath

I beat it in an hour and a half as well, which for 10 bucks... Not sure that's worth it??

I've never been this scared playing a horror game, but the story had grip on me and I couldn't stop playing. Master class in psychological horror, 10/10!!

for any ace attorney fans, this is a no brainer. If you're new to the series, I actually find that these games are easier than some of the phoenix wright games. The solutions always feel reasonable and easy to understand. The game has in place a game mechanic who's sole purpose is to help you connect the dots yourself. Comes as "logic" segments where you connect two pieces of evidence to unlock new meaning and this really helps get the player to understand the case themselves instead of letting it play out in front of you. Only halfway through the first game but I'm already having a blast. Always happy to be in the ace attorney world!


EDIT: I beat both game, this ♥♥♥♥??? THIS ♥♥♥♥ IS PEAK!!!!! top of the series kinda peak. I never knew I could love Edgeworth so much as a main character.

top 3 roguelikes ever created imo. ♥♥♥♥ is peak, ♥♥♥♥ is a creation of god, a sculpture finely detailed, every nook and cranny perfectly detailed out. It's that good man. The atmosphere, the music, the sound effects, every moment of gameplay, perfect. You reading this: ENTER THE GUNGEON, you have a destiny to fulfill.

Id say on sale, 30-40% off this game is pretty fun and worth it. Generally fast and satisfying 3d platformer. I didn't find the story interesting and the bosses are sub par, they don't belong in this game imo. Really incredible art but unfortunately suffers a bit a on game design, final levels are not very fun... I'd give mixed if steam gave the option.
