This is a tower defense game that put the features out in just the right way,


What i expected before playing,

The name was quite inviting to me, orcs must die!, a powerfull name for a game. I heard from a few other people that they found this name not too inviting since it doesnt pose as a serious game, but i found this to be just perfect, an easy way to explain what the game is all about. I expected the game to not have a story line, which i found out was better that it had one, it made the game more enjoyable in my oppinion.

First of all i want to say, great that this game has a story line, from other story line games you can find that the story line is dull, this story line is not to stretched or doesnt have a crazy plot twist, i really like how they made it so there are cut scenes in between some of the levels, which helps with the story.

The graphics, the graphics are just perfect for this sort of game. This should have this sort of art, i think that if they gave the game a more realistic vibe, the game would not be as enjoyable as it is right now. My pc is not the best, but the game runs perfectly at the highest settings (unless you have over 50 different laser traps that are all roasting enemies at one moment) then the frames tend to drop a little bit. But i can see trough that, i expected it to be more laggy

The gameplay, you start a level in the campain, and can first open a menu that displays all the traps that you have unlocked, if you look at the top you can also see all the different enemies that are in the level and their powers, this helps you to stratagise in a executed way. Everything i find to be fairly balanced untill you finish the first campain and unlock the special electric staff. That thing is quite overpowered. But everything about the game is just so good, its not slow, when playing you can always do something, its very important that you remain active yourself instead of having your traps try their best to hold down the enemies. The traps are great and versetile, and the level design gives the game a good level of strategie and doesnt make you want to quit because you keep losing. The enemies are balanced, and i like that they are immune to certain things, makes the game more challenging.

I see that the game is only released for a few days so i will not be too harsh on the bugs and pathfinding, but it can be annoying. Losing a time bonus skull to enemies not pathfinding correct, or as a friend and I experienced when playing, an enemie being outside of the map, no clue how that happened.

I would rate this game a 9.5/10,
(this is my oppinion and it depends on your preferences for the kind of games that you like to play)

i would recommend this game if you want to have fun with friends, if you are a solo player you might have a hard time enjoying this game as there are a lot of people playing in groups. The overall gameplay can sometimes be a little repetetive but it can always stay fun if you switch servers sometimes. The graphics are good, and the game runs good even if you dont have a very good pc.
