This game has an enemy which can easily perma-stunlock you, and doesn't even do any damage, thus forcing you to exit via the pause menu. Furthermore, your spells all feel incredibly weak (and, in fact, are), with the wand being utterly useless. In addition, the spell part of the tutorial doesn't work properly. You're supposed to set a chain of targets on fire, but it won't happen. As a bonus level of suckage, the dialogue assumes your character is male, even though there are female character customization options.

AND, the level generator can leave you unable to finish the objective by placing the things you need to destroy/get/open/kill out of your reach, clearly under the assumption that the player will be using an artifact or material that allows them to reach higher places, thus not accounting for differing play styles or the like.

So, no, this is NOT a good game.

The villain person (Azazel I think) in the first level after the tutorial says "Get him" when sending monsters after you.

Also, thanks for defending my review.

ekbmrb is correct, sometimes the chain of targets did not properly light on fire. We fixed this yesterday but there's no excuse for it having been in the game in the first place. Same situation with the stunlock enemy, its been fixed but we should have caught it earlier.

ekbmrb's review is still good and valid criticism, and fwiw I personally upvoted it.

I am curious about the dialogue assuming male by default. We tried to keep everything neutral, but something must have slipped through. If you have any specific example's I'd be glad to take a look at them.

You won't always have the superjump artifact equipped, and guess what? I DID take the burrowing component from my wand and put it into the spell along with the fire component, and the targets still didn't get set on fire!

Your spells are by no means weak if you have any idea what you're doing. The game also hands you a superjump artifact that will get you basically anywhere right out of the gate. And you can't set the targets on fire without equipping the proper components to the spell, thus allowing it to burrow to the targets like the TUTORIAL INSTRUCTS YOU TO DO.
