Stellaris looks like another basic 4x at a glance, and you wouldn't be wrong. it sure is a 4x. I grew up playing a game called masters of Orion. I loved it, and the one that came out recently didnt really live up to my expectations and tastes. Stellaris did for sure. It has grandiose building wherein you can ascend and conquer the galaxy, Alternatively you could be a small xenophobic religious cult and ascend to become gods. The possibilities are insane. Sure the dlc is expensive, but you can get them on a good sale. I love the amount of playstyles i can choose.

if you've played hours and hours, you can even get mods to enhance the game even further, the mod support is hawt.

If you're bored and want a game you can pick up and put down, or something casual to play before bed, Stellaris is great for you.
