Early Access Review
Engaging game, great production simulation, beautiful environments, awesome theming, great voice acting! This game is right up my alley... except...

Firstly, I want to state that I know this game is still in development, and that the stuff they have done with the destructable landscape and factory management, as well as power systems, liquids, lighting, and many more is genuinely great work and worth every penny.

But this game is awfully optimized. I'll admit, I don't have the beefiest rig and best GPU, but some stuff that this game is missing (that it would very much benefit from) is pretty basic and disappointing that this late in development, even on the lowest graphical settings, my GPU just cant keep up- a problem that I don't have on even very modern games, or playing VR. I don't know exactly what is that is causing my GPU to be bogged down so much, but its genuinely ridiculous that I can barely hold 14 fps with the lowest settings while not even having any massive production facilities. I think part of this is that I do not believe that LOD's are implemented at ALL, so lots of processing power is devoted to rendering textures I can't even see. I don't think that any occlusion culling is done either, so while well optimized games like Satisfactory get 100+ frames very late into the game on my rig, I'm barely 25 hours in and it is next to unplayable. Either some major performance passes need to happen, or this game is mining bitcoin while i'm playing it

Great game, engaging mechanics, awful optimization.

Maybe not worth the price tag for the limited play time, still a beautifully crafted game with an amazing soundtrack, compelling mystery, and beautiful graphics. Very creative and well fleshed-out! It ran smoothly on my low-end tablet laptop, and only once or twice did the controls ever irk me.

While this game is incomplete, the active modding community makes up for it!
