There's good aspects of this game, but I can't recommend anything from a company that sues its players for modding the game. Its non-profitable and most mods bring in new players. Be nice to your fanbase.

It's good. Probably the only battle royale i've ever actually liked, and I have tried fortnite, PUBG, mc hunger games and what not.

Pros:

1. I love the atmosphere. Vampires are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ cool. I love how different types of vampires actually look distinct.

2. The feeding is such a nice concept, and some of the powers are really epic. I like the parkour, and way things are handled.

3. The humans in the city and enemy guards give the city a bit more life. Rather than having only players.

4. Pretty good graphics.

5. Fun and has nice sounds.

6. Its free, and works pretty good for an early access game.

Cons:

1. Progress feels a little slow. (Fixed a bit by the newest update)

2. I would've liked more modes. I admittedly am not fond of battle royales, but I always wanted a third person vampire game. So some sort of mode that has lore, and pve would be nice.

3. There appears to be a form of lag sometimes. I never noticed it a ton, but others certainly did, and I did see it a little bit.

4. Needs more maps and costumizations. Don't lock all of it behind a battlepass. I wanna look unique.

5. The city looks a little bland. A little color would benefit it a lot.



So yeah, mostly positive. I hope they add a ton more.

here's my ideas to improve the game:

More maps: Snowy maps, wilderness maps, big city maps, and more weather be it storms, sunsets, foggy, and what not.

Modes: Horde mode, story mode, 30 vs 30., monster battles of some sort. Perhaps a twist happens where NPCS turn into werewolves and monsters, and the city turns into living hell. Could be an epic event, hide and seek mode where you gotta find the vampire impostor.

Added features: Vehicles like bikes, minibosses that can climb and more interiors.

Weapons: Grappling hook, whips, grenades, throwing stars, bow and arrow.

More archtypes: One that can glide in air, life sucking power from humans within a distance, dodge roll,

Different hub rooms: The cathedral is good, but a little empty and not quite up my alley. Some thing else would be nice every now and then. Like it switches out to a different hub every day or so. I would love something like the vampire mansion from Underworld or a neon bar. Perhaps the ability to have our own private chamber, where collectibles we collected throughout the map could spawn and decorate our room. I would like that.

More ways to diablerize: Be it curve stomping someone and drinking their blood, jumping on them as they fall to the ground like a bodyslam, or something third, but more animations or ways to customize your desired one would be nice. Would be a cool form of unlockables through maybe profile prestiging.

crossovers: Underworld, Dracula, Van helsing, other horror icons as well as events.
I played a lot of Dead By Daylight, so crossovers is just something that always makes me giddy and hyped. even if its just cosmetics

Some of this may not be lore friendly to the franchise, and some things are maybe unrealistic to ask for, but one can dream, and for some stuff you can just call it a non-canon event. ^^

This is probably the most amazing game EVER!
With mods you can fulfill your darkest desires, make the game prettier and better than most next gen games, include every possible type of gameplay you could dream of and play it forever and ever. There's no end to the fun!

'' What about the base game? ''. Wait, there's a game under all these mods? Uhhh, ermmm, the base game is ok too I guess?

P.S. If i'm invisible or spamming in and out of this game. I'm likely modding it like crazy. I already have 66 mods, and i'm not stopping.

cAN eASily RECOMMEND yes. Go buy it. It costs like nothing, and you can make the dream game through mods. Don't waste such an amazing opportunity. Its worth it, and maybe Todd Howard will leave you alone.

Very atmospheric game. Could use more decor and building stuff, but otherwise very nice. I would also like a female character for online play.

Decent game. I mean, its as you would expect from a Tomb Raider game.
You should get a license with Dead By Daylight. Would love to see Lara as a survivor in that.

Despite all the bad i've heard. It's actually a pretty decent game. Could be by the fact I came in late, but from what i've seen and played, i'm fairly glad. No big complains here.

Only wishes I have for the game would be:
-Text chat.
-Less limitations for buildings.
-Vehicles.
-More interactions; hugging, kissing, highfiving other players, finishers for killing enemies, enemy reactions; bleeding out and what not.
-Better graphics.
-More decor items. Just the small things you find in the world.
-Sometimes it looks like animations are missing or they look funky? That would be a sweet fix too.

But this is really nitpicking. Only thing that I really think hurts this game is the no text chat. That would be great. It's such a shame not being able to meet players outside the game or add eachother on steam to better communicate. No such things. Cant even ask people how their day is, or for help. Feels bad for a game like this. If you could make it an option, for PC at the very least, then that would be nice.^

If you're afraid of spam, you can make it promixity based too.

Cool game, but it really REALLY could've used more Third Person options. For when you walk on the streets, or do combat outside of interiors. Its such a shame you hardly ever see cosmetics, and it already feels so empty and boring walking as a camera in these streets.

Otherwise okay? I feel like the best part of it is its cyberpunk theme and location. The rest feels very mediocre. Nothing too special. Combat is incredibly stiff and clunky.

Hoping there'll be a patch or update for these things, or pray for a mod. If they do. I would gladly change this review.

I will say though. Once the game has fixed a lot of these flaws, it is definitely worth getting for the story sequences alone. I really like those.

I just wish the world was a bit more exciting to explore, beyond looking pretty. Which it does very well may I add.

Also why are there no neck items?! The crown to any real punker is a spiky choker, and I cant even have it?!

Really bummed all the outfits are sets.

Otherwise its okay. Its as you would expect.

As a big fan of asymmetrical multiplayer and having played:
Friday the 13th (200 hours), Dead by Daylight (800 hours), Gold express (100 hours) and deathgarden (100 hours).

There's clearly a big community who loves these type of games.

Resident evil resistance puts a new spin on the genre in a way i've never before seen, but it shows its willing to try something new and it does it fairly well. The core gameplay is fun and gives both sides unique abilities and ways of playing that the other games of same genre has failed to do. Being able to shoot, do puzzles and get chased is even more exciting than ever before. Rather than just sit on a generator all day long and at times loop the killer or sit on a meathook for minutes straight.

I enjoyed it a lot. A bit on the shorter side, but still a ton of fun.

If you want more fun, I high suggest trying resident evil resistance which comes with it. Really fun multiplayer.
