I've beaten this game 8 times on my vita and am now playing through it again on PC. It's literally a life changing game. If you've ever had trouble making friends or find yourself in a weird transition in life, please, please play this game. It will help you in so many ways.

The story in P4G is great. Classic murder mystery that isn't to dark or serious (until it is). The game really is 3 games in one. In one section your traversing through dungeons and leveling up your character in classic jrpg gameplay. Then you have the social section which has you making friends with classmates and citizens from around town. Lastly there is the main story which everything more or less revolves around.

Atlus found the perfect way to blend a social sim with a dungeon crawler. It's not overly anime, meaning characters don't talk like they're in an anime and most things are grounded (to a degree. I mean, they go inside of a tv and summon demons so you be the judge). You won't find any dragon ball like battles in this game.

This game made me fall in love with the entire series. I've probably spent close to $10,000 on persona things to this day.

If an 80 hour jrpg sounds to intimidating, I highly recommend watching the anime adaptation. It's funny, flashy, greatly voice acted, and does a really nice job hitting all the story beats. If you do have the time though, I highly recommend playing this game. Especially in HD on Steam.
