You're going to find yourself looking for reasons to do things, this game doesn't really have alot in the way of objectives, other than what you make for yourself. I find myself most of the time coming up with a narrative on why I am doing what I am doing more so when I have my main space ship. Survival for this game is an after thought, which in the context of the game is fine. It is your space sandbox, go make your sandcastle! Then knock your friends sandcastles over! Then watch clang knock down your sandcastle and build it all over again!
