TLDR: It's a fun game, I would really recommend it.

Graphics and audio
I think that overall the visuals of the game are stunning. In combination with the soundtrack and sound design for the various units and bosses, I think that the developers have succeeded in creating an atmosphere. The only thing that I would add is that the physics engine can be a bit wonky sometimes, leading to head bobbing or even the launching of ragdolls. But to be honest, I just think it's funny when it happens

Gameplay
The game revolves around earning experience and loot for your characters, to make them stronger, so you can try the higher difficulty versions of the levels. Although the quality of the loot you obtain does scale with the difficulty, the amount of experience you earn does not. At first I thought the latter was a bit odd but it is fine. The mid-level difficulty (champion, mid level if accounting the WoM DLC) can already be quite challenging, so this game has quite a high skill ceiling.
The game also encourages you to go out of your way to collect special items called grimoires and tomes, which are hidden around the level, to improve the quality of your loot for that run. In addition to that, the game also includes challenges that ask you to do specific tasks or solve a specific puzzle on a level, which is fun too.

I think the game is quite fun to play with friends; the communication between team members also adds to the amount of success you have in your runs. If no friends are online or if none own the game, the community is also quite friendly generally speaking.

The most recent DLC, Winds of Magic has been met with a lot of criticism. Much has been related to the balacning of the new beastmen faction. I do understand the issues, but think that they don't hinder the fun I'm having in the game.
