Witcher 3 is easily one of the best games I've played in almost 10 years.

Single player games nowadays seem to stray away from what makes a single player game great, and witcher 3 really brings back the proper feel for everything.

The story is incredibly well written, and it has tons of twists and turns that are based around the choices you make during dialogue options. You've also got an insane amount of side quests with rich stories to go along with them as well.

The world is massive and it has tons of things that are actually worth exploring. Most open world games give you the concept of exploring for more things to see, and occasionally some special loot if you look hard enough. In Witcher 3, you can easily find out where the points of interest are, and they're all well worth visiting, as you can gain tons of riches, loot, and most importantly, blueprints from exploring these locations.

The gameplay itself is very exciting and poses a challenge to those who choose to play on harder difficulties. Some people have an issue with the combat controls, and I'll be honest, I felt discouraged for a little bit at the start, but I quickly got the hang of things and the fights actually became very fun, and I really enjoyed the combat style (Especially when I got the spin ability for fast attacks and just slaughtered everyone with a whirlwind)

The artwork in this game is incredible, and everything looks gorgeous when you play it.

Lastly, there's Gwent, which is easily one of the best card games I've ever played. The standalone game is nothing like the version within Witcher 3, and I'm currently not a huge fan of standalone Gwent, but I need to practice it more before I can truly judge that. The Gwent in Witcher 3 however is incredibly fun, and a great side quest to partake in.

So to summarize, if you want a single player game that doesn't end in 20 hours or less, than this is the one for you. I beat the main campaign, with all side quests, and nearly every single question mark on the map, in just over 100 hours. The DLCs combined added another 40 hours on top to complete, and I'm slowly working into my NG+ run, where I intend to fix my initial errors and pick up on anything I might have missed.

This game revived my love for single player RPG games, because I've been severely disappointed in them over the past many years, and had almost given up on them entirely.

This game deserves a metacritic score over 100.
