An update has been issued today to combat the driver incompatibility problems. The game runs without crashing using modern drivers (tested on 531.41). Hooray!

The only way to currently play the game if you're using an Nvidia GPU is to roll back to driver 522.25. Not doing so will lead to a crash within tens of minutes of play.

The driver is 6 months old and by rolling back, you lose official support for:

The problem was supposed to be addressed with driver no. 531.18, but it hasn't changed anything.

4000 series graphics cards are not even old enough to support the older driver.

Playground Games has acknowledged the issue months ago, but hasn't offered any solution other than the already mentioned driver rollback.

I will update this comment if anything new comes up, cheers until then (if ever).

This isn't a AAA game.

It is a beta version of the first game by a small dev team. It doesn't run well, there's a ton of bugs and glitches, but that's to be expected from a game by a reasonably inexperienced team. You can see the effort put into it, the atmosphere is great, but it will take years to flesh everything out.


I mean, everything I've said is a lie, but putting myself into this mindset helps me enjoy the game.

I bought it for 10 euros which is exactly what it should cost.

I feel very sorry for whoever pre-ordered this and paid the full price.
