Its ok, probably not worth 60 bucks. Its a very old style RPG and the story it tells in both games is pretty generic...the runes are kinda an afterthought and the villains are silly. Not as great a game as some people might have you believe but worth having a romp with if its on sale

Very conflicted on this game, it looked like they remade 360 ninja gaiden 2 but after facing the first 6 bosses its not even remotely the same. its like a mix between the OG and Sigma so you get weapon progression and blood but also the new characters. However the game is nerfed in difficulty that being enemy count and boss difficulty is piss easy compared to the OG

conflicted recommendation so get it on sale

The game has problems, and its a bit annoying to see this come out before the Suikoden 1 & 2 remaster.
Overall if youre locking every action into a 1s delay event and run speed is equivalent to walking Im not gonna play youre game or at the very least not playing it till some speed up engine comes out.

Games ok, but just ok... Overall first dungeon feels fine and you start to expect more challenge or some variation but no every dungeon is the same and difficulty never really ramps up. Also a very short game with not a whole lot going for it, rather surprised people said this was the best indie game of 2022 when soo many better ones existed.

Dont buy the DLC it aint worth it even if its wrapped together you only need the base game on a discount if you MUST play this game

The game is an attempt by Mistwalker studios to create a Live Tactical RPG which fails. Theyve been making phone games for too long they forgot what made Final Fantasy Tactics and Lost Odyssey great and it couldnt be more clear then when playing this game. Enix is only gonna look at the sales and reviews for this game and that directly effects any chance of the studio getting a budget for a better game but even if they did I dont think they could ever recapture the glory they once had.

tl;dr - story is boring and combat is boring and plays like a game made for a smartphone/tablet. Game missions are extremely short and require little to no thought

The game is a VN, the TRPG aspect is a joke as you can easily just overpower every fight with agumon in his highest form at whatever point in the story. Honestly really liked the story but probably not worth going back and getting the other endings. The story imo is better than Cyber Sleuths so its worth it for that, combat is also better. If you came looking for Final Fantasy Tactics with digimon though youre gonna be disappointed.

Not worth even on sale, I like Digimon and I like RPG's but this is both boring story and gameplay wise. Got to the Knights story arc and it didnt get better. Basically a very very grindy game whose assets are reused on the mobile game and has almost no challenge or story to keep you hooked.

Game is just not at the same level of its price tag let alone a discount less than 50%. There are invisible walls when trying to jump minor terrain. Theres a complete lack of art direction in this game where we shift from stills that look like theyre from a gacha game back to 3d models and then back to stills not to mention the awful run animations used in cutscenes. The story and combat are alright the big gimmick for the game is alchemy crafting which is alright.

tl;dr - bought the game cause it looked fun for an adventure rpg but lacks the quality of life fixes needed for its price tag

Update: it is now almost 2023 and the game hasnt left EA despite planned efforts for it to be, the game got 1 update after a year and theres no word from the dev in his discord in said year. If u want an unfinished game theres some fun to be had here though


A Roguelite text adventure with tidbits of combat, still needs some fleshing out and hoping the full release adds more sections or a more full end. As it stands the game is exceptional for an early release and pretty rewarding on multiple playthroughs but once you figure it out it gets a bit easy.
