Aside from the Dev's leaning full into "be the bad guy slave owner", it's in a lot of ways what Pokemon should be these days. They really did a good job, and it is still in early access. Gamefreak has no right to sue.

A very old title at this point that has stayed up to date and made improvements on the Source Engine (Valve's engine) for years. Not much to look at when first installed with the sandbox alone being rather basic, a whole world of options opens up with the alternative game modes you can acquire from the workshop.
Prop Hunt and TTT being the classics (these alone having multiple flavors), there are other modes that can turn the game into a more tactical COD.
Unfortunately for a lot of this servers for constantly hosted things aren't always the best, and finding a group to play with is the way to go.

Enjoyable game mechanics with well stacking abilities to pick from. Simple to understand and jump right into for anyone. Very nice bite size play lengths of "20 minutes" (plus a little for pausing on level and item pickups), that make it great for taking a break and playing a little.

I've played it.

One of my favorite games of all time. Got started on it pretty late, but glad I did. Can sink a lot of time into it to get all the good stuff, or you can just goof around once you get out of the starting area and have a friend carry you around shooting things. And the developers are not moving on, they are just going to sit here and keep making it better and better. Updating the graphics, engine, game modes, and items forever and ever it seems.

It's incredibly addicting and time consuming. You have been warned.

Fantastic soundtrack that is great even without the game, but flows perfectly with it.

If you haven't played this game already, stop reading the reviews, and go play it already. It's worth it.
