It is like a free version of Emergency 20 with great multiplayer support.
When it works.

Refusing to log in since middle of june, making it unplayable.
No messages adressing the problem was issued before (or after) the fix, in early july.

Do you remember when SC4, still was better than CS?
As it is now, Cities: Skylines (1) is better then Cities: Skylines 2, for about the same reasons.

Two things that is in favour for the older version: july 2024
  • Price : You get at least as much content for the same price if you include some DLCs
  • Mods : There is more and better free mods, if you use PC.

But as time got by, Sim City 4 was sucseded by Cities: Skylines, so there is only a matter of time.

An exellent game if you are looking for a transport-tycoon-game.
The game has a very strong support, from both the developers and the modding-communit, to keep things fresh (2022).
Know this: No multiplayer support.

A game for them who wants a explore-adventure-game in a beutiful setting.
If you liked (the orginal) Subnautica - you will like this game. A worthy stand-alone-sucsession to Subnautica.

Best F2P combination-battle-game set in WW1 & WW2.
It is regulary updated and banning cheating players.

BUT:
If you like to play the game in eras after WW2, this game is not that great/"free".
You need to know what you are doing to not losing in-game currency.
The economics and balance have issues,
but they do try balancing it in some ways, with canges now and then.

Rovio, the developer of Angry Birds (remember that hit?) collapsed, and is today quite small in comparison.
Why is this relevant?
Gaijin entertaiment seems to travel the same road.

What holds the future for the game?
I believe that the game will not exist in this grand form in five years. I believe there are four possible scenarios:
1, The game will be smaller in scope, but free.
2, The game will not be free to play.
3, The game disappears.
4, I'm (hopefully) wrong
