I don't normally review games but i'll give this one a try. I've been a huge fan of Ben 10 for years, probably around the time Alien Force came out. I've seen every episode and movie of this franchise but i do believe the franchise went downhill by the end of Ultimate Alien through to Omniverse. I don't hate those series' but do think the original was the best of the franchise. The reboot isn't the best but isn't the worst either, it's ideas are pretty new and cool and i like some of the villians and new aliens, i also think since it's release it has at least gotten slightly better, i don't mind it too much because it is Based around one of my favourite shows.

As for the game i do think it is a decent quick game, obviously not the greatest game on steam ever or the greatest Ben 10 game ever but it is for the most part enjoyable. I do however believe that the creators could've put a lot more effort to the game in terms of the different abilities of the 10 selectable aliens, like having each alien have their own unique abilities; Upgrade being able to merge with enemies or surrounding mechanical objects for combat or Diamondhead creating a shield for defense and blocking attacks, also being able to launch shards out of the ground to damage enemies. Those were a few out of many ideas i have in mind. These would've made the combat a lot more entertaining. I did like the idea of Grey Matter having been equipped with some type of technology that lets him fire lasers and black holes and thought that was pretty unique because by default Grey Matter would only be used for small spaces, otherwise comepletely useless. Other abilities i thought were cool was Xlr8 being able to slow down time for a brief period and how his attacks are really fast, Stinkfly repelling gas to stun enemies, Upgrades laser, Wildvine's spin ability, etc. Each aliens finisher could've been different aswell instead of all 10 just jumping right on them, Heatblast and Upgrade were the only one's i think that shot at them, i dunno, they seemed repetitive to me.

The enemies are pretty much all the same but some do have different abilities which is fine. I find it hilarious with how some of my attacks play out and it just looks like i've brutally murdered them. You can choose from 10 aliens instead of 5 like in 'Protector of Earth' or having a selected set of 4 like in 'Cosmic Destruction' and Omniverse 2. This game for the most part is decent, it's an easy quick beat em up game that only takes a few hours to finish, worth passing the time with if you have nothing else to play. If your a fan of Ben 10 or not i reckon you'll have a good time with this game.

At the end of the day it is supposed to be a game for kids and older ages, so i guess no one should really expect any over the top video game of a franchise from cartoon network, but i do strongly agree that there should be some large scale Ben 10 game in the future. A game that video gamer and fans alike could enjoy through years to come. There's another review on this game that goes into more detail of a potential Ben 10 RPG, and he/she pretty much described what i have wanted since Ben 10 Omniverse 2. Think about it, a single player or online game where you either play as Ben or you can create a customizable Omnitrix wielder, male or female. The option to change outfits of yourself and your aliens, colours and designs. You can start of with either 10 or couple of aliens to start with but as you progress you gain access to new aliens and abilities. The game could pretty much be free roam and open world based, full of main missions and side missions. Have a good developing story that spans over several hours, downloadable content for new aliens, villians and stories, no micro transactions like EA, travel the universe and have access to most if not all aliens featured across the franchise, maybe including the reboot. Become the ultimate Omnitrix wielder! The POTENTIAL! I'm getting ahead of myself, but I guess we can only dream for now, but who knows maybe it will become a real thing for all the hardcore Ben 10 fans and gamers in the future.
