The game finally brings story rich RPG which is filled with choices from Warhammer 40000.

I like the game most for the world building, branching choices and an intriguing story. No spoilers, I think that's the best way to make a RPG in this universe without going either too meaningless so it should not feel even in this universe and very generic (as Gladius, for example) or having too high stakes that it may be contoversial (for example, as Space Marine (1)).

I should admit that I like Owlcat stories and their way of presenting them in their games for the most part and they really excel at that, but both parts of Pathfinder games have very annoying combat for me. I was very relieved to see that this game focuses only on turn-based mode which let them focus only on it and it feels much better.

It has turn-based combat with a lot of nuances, which I prefer a lot more than (pseudo) realtime CRPG combat. However, this combat system avoids overcumbersome system of billions of statuses and buffs. There are a lot, as should be in a RPG, but it the right amount of complexity for my taste.

There are some parts of game with management features which also were included in Owlcat previous games and again, they manage to make them more fun to me by tuning all the ccumbersome micromanagement and streamlining it to a more simple but engaging systems which provide more story and choices exclusive to them.

That's a big and complex RPG that provides with a lot of roleplaying, respects source material and player's time with a lot of improvements from the previous projects by the devs. I'd even dare to say that this game provides more story, meaningful characters (and their growth) than universally beloved Baldurs Gate 3.

But I admit that this game is more niche in all of its mechanics, besides combat, for my opinion, as it's more streamlined than even in BG3. It's not such visually stunning, as well, as it presents story mostly in the text format even though it does it very good.

I've fully completed the game. Done almost all achievements (62/66) at the moment of the review. I've done all the missions in the game.
I've spent 22 hours in it.
After all of that I can safely advise anyone to stay away from it.

I don't deny that it looks beautiful. All enviroments look very rich and nice overall. Impact of almost all weapons look satysfying as well. Visual design look not bad and true to setting.

Alas, this game is very painful to play. And that should be the main focus of any game.

I haven't seen worse design of map than in this game. It's very unintuitive at best times and very frustrating at most times. Almost everytime it's very unclear where to go.
Game has a very vague waypoints on the edges of the screen, however they NEVER show you if your goal on higher or lower floor/stage. I've found that "O" key shows you the way, but that doesn't show anywhere and I don't know why anyone would try all the keys to find it.
If your goal is in another "sector" (game doesn't provide such classification) which can be accessed only via special 'inter-sector" elevators, you won't know it.
You begin to guess that it's the case after some time in the game.
There is a taxi feature ("T" button) which shows you the goal. And if it's not there, then you should deduce that you need to go to that inter-sector elevators.

Bugs. There are a lot of them. I'd say you can't play 1 whole minute without encountering any. That's not an exaggeration. We've used actual timer with my co-op partner at one of our playhthroughs.
They really differ from wierd visual ones to outright blocking any actions in your game. Some of them can be fixed by another player using taxi feature (which is not available everywhere). Some not. And you can't avoid it.

It includes several achievements as well. One time game completely lost my progress. Completely. 10 hours - poof, gone. (We danced a lot with my friends save file for it to work in my game (we cleared the game together))

And another thing is the game design. Last ~4 hours of the main game (without DLC, but with all side quests) was juggling between: 1 minute gunfight, 2 minutes walking to lifts, 5 second lifts (that can broke in your case and softblock you), loading screens ~20 seconds, taxi.

I don't understand why this game lets you collect duplicate equipement if there are no inventory managment in any form. No slots, no weight, nothing. The game let's you sell duplicates but only one category of equipement at a time. WHY?

You can change your player colours (color in which armor will be) only in the surgeon's menu, who... yes, hides all your armor so you can see your character's body.

And yes, your primary color determines what color your character has on minimap. This feature isn't explained anywhere. But if you or some other player chose black, it's virtually impossible to see it on minimap.

I guess that's it. That's a very frtustrating game which exhausts you a lot in 20 hours of the main game and +~2 hours of DLC. And that's a feat in itself!
None of this game's features worth anyone's time.

UPDATE: I've finished all 66 achievements. In 2,5 hours. You just pray that all of them will trigger first time when conditions are met, not to mention that some of them should be triggered separately by other player for them to count towards the friend's progress as well.

Интересная философская история от лица винтика в системе, к которой слишком много вопросов, а все ответы до конца мало кто сможет предоставить. Визуальная новелла на то и есть визуальная новелла, что геймлейно какой-то революции тут нет. Есть качественно сделанный визуальный и аудиальный ряд, а также интригующая история и вечно актуальные философские вопросы.

Одна из лучших кооперативных игр за последнее время. Продуманный баланс классов и взаимодействие классов друг с другом. Случайная генерация тут не раздражает, а приносит только удовольствие разнообразием. Уважительная и честная к игроку. Один из лучших гейм-дизайнов, который радует разнообразными мелочами. Приятная атмосфера работяг-шахтёров-дворфов. Разработчики продолжают регулярно развивать её, добавлять новый контент и прислушиваться к пожеланиям игроков. Отбивает свою стоимость в несколько раз.

Очень рекомендую. Наконец-то "наследник" Fallout, который не впадает в отсылки, абсурд или недодумывает мир. Красиво мир строит, красиво сюжет закручивает, держит интригу до конца, красивый финал. В общем, приятно держит в любопытстве на протяжении всей игры, а мир кажется работающим. На удивление, в наше время такое редко встречается. В общем, удовольствие получил. Игра про билды, тут уж надо свыкнуться, но мир стоит того. Опять же, темы поднимаются серьёзные и философские и к игроку относится игра серьёзно. В общем, если нравится постапок, понравится. Тут постапок в кубе уже случился глобальный, потом местный давным-давно, а теперь очень местный мы пытаемся предотвратить. К интерфейсу и визуальному стилю надо привыкнуть, но как привыкаешь, так всё - более 100 часов за одной из лучших сюжетных RPG.

Лучший саундтрек из игр, который я слышал. Мне кажется более атмосферного, подчёркивающего и дополняющего атмосферу саундтрека нет ни в одной игре. Технологичность, электронность, обрядовость, религиозность, готичность и фанатичность сплетаются в абсолютно уникальное звучание, соединяющее электронную музыку, орган, хор и эмбиент, которое пропитывает насквозь. В комплекте идут flac и mp3 версии. ИМХО, топ за свои деньги, абсолютно стоящая вещь, способная вызвать мурашки от прослушивания даже отдельно от игры.

Sadly, the game is indire need of a lot work and polishing.
But even now it presents a very rich and interesting setting, lore and world.
Gameplay-wise I would say that it's a mix of Gothic and Fallout (1,2) which feels clumsy but interesting anyway.
So I would like to leave "recomended" but with a goodfaith to developers and cation to anyone who wants to try it.

Уф... Сложно на самом деле описать игру, в которой важно личное восприятие (лично для меня, а я в меньшинстве, судя по тому, что я слышу от людей). Эта игра в которой меня привлекла атмосфера, которая тут раскрывается не историей (хотя её незамысловатость только играет ей на руку), а визуальной составляющей - графикой и дизайном (как арт, так и гейм). Просторы постапокалиптических берегов Австралии невозможно воспринять через скриншоты (хотя он у некоторых получаются просто божественными, да и люди простые, вроде меня, могут тоже сделать что-то красивое, не из-за собственного умения, а из-за уменя дизайнеров). В общем, игра для эстетов, а не для тех пришёл за историей. Геймплей меня увлёк, читать записи людей, до катастрофы, читать записи людей после катастрофы, поиск этих записей - это приятный элемент исследования, и слава б-гу, что открытый (*кхе*псевдо*кхе*) мир не только крафтом единым существует. Фактически исследование и улучшение своего Magnum Opus - всё, за чем вы проведёте всю игру. (ну ещё, конечно, неплохая боёвка Бэтманов, и освобождение вышек, но это проходится чисто на автомате, если вы играете в игры от Ubisoft). Но исследование вкупе с дизайном - жемчужины этой игры. Приятный такой медитативный уход в постапокалипсис (как бы странно это не звучало).

Played almost all of Telltale games, if it matters. This is a review from only the first episode so far, if there will be great changes in game will edit it.

Very nice addition to Batman franchise in my opinion. QTE become more action packed and fast paced. "Walking" phase as Batman feels much cooler than in previous Telltale games with not groundbreaking, but still, new "linking" mechanic. But what is the most important is the change that you should take 2 roles: Batman and Bruce Wayne, which feels (not plays) innovative and nextlevel-ish in story progression plain. Still interactive movie, though, if someone interested in this. Graphics feel kinda outdated too (2D backscenes?!), but animation (for me, at least) still okay and characters feel believable. The story is very engaging and intruiging.

P.S. Just can't see a mediocre rating for very good game because of launch problems.

Олдскульная хардкор РПГ без компромиссов. Ближе к Fallout только сам Fallout. Не поддержать рублём - отказаться от олдскул РПГ навсегда. Всё. (60 часов)

Oldschool hardcore RPG without compromises. Closer to Fallout is only Fallout. Not to support means you will not see oldschool RPGs ever again. That's all. (60 hours)
