so wildcard screwed me over after 1400 hours of ark. bad update resulted in me getting a vac ban. they released a update (256.22) that fixed a problem with the new ui and a mantis's ability to wield a melee weapon. However there was a gap between that and them updating the servers witch meant when i joined the server not knowing the mantis was still broken i got on my mantis and gave it a weapon as the client side ui was fixed and the servers not. the server reported that as cheating and got me vac banned on my own server. VAC was disabled on the server... in the settings... yet another Well known Wildcard bug...

This game is a badly patched mess.

its the developers that caused this issue by deploying a system they should not have in a early access title that.

(2019 Update) Still banned i even re created the ban and 2 others i have found over the years and submitted my findings to the developer. they simply stated no appeal...

This sucks as it is a great game and my 2nd account also has more than a 1500 hours on it.
and that is after taking a year+ holiday from this game after the ban.

@dev You should really rethink your strategy on how you treat your fans/players they are not all criminals.
