Early Access Review

Summary

* From theme to sound to graphics this game is executed well.
* The world and lore is compelling and unique.
* Some scenes can be beautiful and some of the creatures and their environments can be
creepy. Loving the variety
* Good survival game and the ceiling for crafting is high so you will need to push and grind to
make the best of the best tools armour etc.
* The crafting system is very complex but in a good way. If you spend the time to get better
materials your tools and armour will be allot better.
* This is not a game you rush or you will constantly hit walls and not have the resources to
progress.

Mine, loot, explore, craft and progress in that order
And your base will look like that of a hoarder.

What needs improving

* Biomes - more biomes will help with some of the complainants and for a change of scenery
while grinding away. (Noted as planed by the developer)
* UI - workstations no icons to show what addons are connected. however this is only mildly
bad as you can use the built in tracking options to find what is missing to craft something.
or just have infinite slots for workstation augmentations
* Some resources don't have icons. this makes finding something needlessly hard when a
chest has allot of them.
* Progression - not bad but just odd that you can make multiple guns yet not be able to craft a
simple metal axe. Perhaps an intermediary between stone and higher end tools i.e Simple
metal tools can fix it without changing the existing progression already implemented.
* End game content. This game is in dire need of end game content and higher than 220
difficulty. i solo those dungeons with <70 hours invested.
* More Clothing sets or skins for clothing
* Dye for clothing

Offline play

Yes it has this now. though i was not one to push for this i am happy it exists for game preservation reasons. But only for that reason. Multiplayer games kind of require servers to exist and function...

Multiplayer

* This works well. if it is treated by the players as a co op game its good.
* As a general multiplayer title the game needs some work. you can open a realm to the public but they have no way to find it other than accidentally both people playing the exact same cards and settings including public. a public realm list will do wonders here.
* Needs chat for teams/worlds/watch

Mid-tier

*The game scales well and can be as ez as you want or a festival of re spawning. so no issues there.
*The complexity of building crafting and resources scales well and the rarer things will close the gap to to an eventual high end load out.

End Gane

Here we have a problem you can very easily get too powerful for what the game challenges players with. so this is a list of what needs work.

* More Teamwork focused dungeons/worlds in the watch and even on cards.
* Team finder
* Higher difficultly of dungeons and team focused worlds
* Mutated worlds. i.e. Large creatures with high HP or small fast critters. Blights, Dark worlds, etc etc etc. This is what takes players from 10's to 100's of hours and even 1000's of hours.
