To be honest I love KSP, I've been playing it since before it came to Steam, when you had to buy installation keys from Squad directly. It is challenging because you're building rockets or jets - they've simplified the physics so it's not nearly as hard as it is in reality, but you're still building rockets and jets. I never use anything except sandbox, I tried career after it was added and decided that wasn't for me. If you've heard the phrase "failure is not an option" well on KSP failure is typically the default option. But that's okay, Jeb doesn't mind failure.

Well, with the release they've added story mode, which kind of teaches you to survive day by day. In sandbox mode there's just a lot of area to explore and no handholding so its sink or swim. Some of the starting areas in TLD sandbox are less forgiving than others.

Hey Mike, thanks for the reaction on my screenshot ! I see you got a lot of playing time in The long Dark. I tried that but got impatient after dying 4 times in a row stumbling around in a cabin. Now please tell me I miss all the good parts thereafter ?

NMS was delayed, so you've got a long wait on that front.
