For what it was and how tiny of a game (filesize-wise) it was enjoyable. Clearly a cash-grab mobile game that was ported for PC gamers.

The servers are since shut down and this game is no longer playable. It was P2W especially for the PvP aspects of it, although there was the possibility of a long grind to get to the stage of some P2W players. Ultimately it wasn't worth the effort though. Even had the "spend IRL money to continue playing sooner!" like CandyCrush mobile has.

I hate P2W mobile-ported games with over the top graphic design for that 'edge' factor and piss poor animation, but honestly I did find it fun. I'd find myself bored and want something to passively play and really quick to start up and get into. This was one of those games for me.

I'm a little sad that the game is dead and the servers gone now. It would be nice to have a version that's not P2W and all entirely free, just for the sake of "it's over now"...if it wasn't P2W and it cost $10 to own, I'd happily buy this.

RIP Forge of Gods. You were a good, bad mobile game port.

This game is amazing, the graphics are nice, the community is welcoming-ish, and overall the game is a lot of fun. It's always changing and adding new content and the developers love the game and the playerbase. Defs worth the try!

Is it like Minecraft? Yes and no. It's a voxel-based mining game. It's far more immersive than Minecraft, and a lot more challenging...yet also more relaxing?

Microtransactions aren't thrown in your face. This is a F2P game that's worth keeping in your library!

The few people I've seen leave negative reviews aren't even relevant to the game...

The maps are small, sure, but so are the teams...it evens out over time.

This game is GREAT! It's filled with Alienware Traps for Days!!!! Sometimes some Freddie Mercury in there too! (The chat community is a bit...heh...odd) Friendly players (mostly, or just sarcastic fun) who are always willing to help!

I will update this review as time goes by, but for now it's bed time for me. x3 Great replay value!


My only (few) cons:

- Microtransactions. As little as they are, I refuse to consider saying "it's fine!" when in reality, microtransactions are the bane of MMO existance. I understand why they do it, the base game is pretty cheap and it's a heftily well made game. But still. Even if Minecraft had proper microtransactions, I'd still fault it for it also. Microtransactions in this game are for pets and other cosmetic items. I haven't suckered into the microtransactions (yet) and I don't intend to. I've levelled to over 50 (soon to be several times) and I am just a base-game purchaser. So yes it's possible and it can sometimes be a little grindy, but you also get given free ♥♥♥♥ in the game all the time from the devs! So I see it as evening out.

- Repetitive nature of certain quests. I hate going back and forth in games as much as the next lazy fps ♥♥♥♥♥. However, in BDO there are times (mostly side quests or just filler quests) where I feel like just disconnecting and playing something else PURELY because of how repetitive some of the quests can be. Then again, that con can be applied to ANY MMORPG game. Not just BDO.

- Lack of online documentation. I'm a big fan of understanding what the hell it is I'm doing in a video game. I enjoy working out the 'ins' and 'outs' of the tasks I'm doing and how to be more effecient. Sadly, BDO is very lacking in online dcoumentation for the smallest aspects about the game or the most odd questions you may have. Your best bet is checking the community forums...which let's be honest...nobody EVER feels like going on a forum for help.

Good scare factor, great gameplay elements! Wouldn't mind seeing some balance in favour of the sharks though.

Zombie mode thing: 0/10 (need to purchase a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ DLC to play it. Eugh.)
