As someone who mained Valkyr since 2016, DEAR GOD!!!

After playing this game twice, i can safely say in terms of the actual story, this is the best that Techland has written for a main plot. my favorite unintentionally funny moment was in "Power Gambit" where Kyle Crane says and i quote "I wouldn't push me if i were you. You don't wanna piss me off. You're gonna see a really ugly side of me" then proceeded to beast off on his attackers, ending the fight with "I told you not to piss me off"

Personally it's also got the best combat out of the trilogy, mixing the brutality of DL1 and the improvements of DL2 into the most satisfying combat system I've seen in a zombie game since Dead Island 2 and the original Dying Light.

The Beast mode is extremely reminiscent of the Rage powers from Dead Island, at least to me it is.
Overall it's a solid 9/10 for me, I'll come back to play any dlc that Techland makes for sure!!!
Also really cool for making this standalone expansion free with the ultimate edition of DL2.

Peak writing in my eyes, there's totally nothing wrong with the main story and doesn't feel like 60% of it got cut.

Still a great game after all these years, after installing Juiced and Gentlemen to actually be able to play of course, and to top it off with a HQ radio mod.

This game still rocks.
This is one of the MANY peaks that released in 2012 and there's so many cool as hell ways to play this game still. For a Far Cry game at least.
The story is still the one of the best in the series. The gun play is legendary for a mainstream game in 2012, Every gun has that certain oomf to them, That just feels fun. The unlockables are extremely rewarding and absolute powerhouses.
not to mention the amazing voice acting from everyone in the Pirates, the game just feels different after you take down their unforgettable leader and head to the next island.
the only downside is the crashes that happen ever so often.
10/10 must play
