Achievements are completely bugged + you need a trash microsoft account...
They pop up whenever they want to or not at all.
Beat the CE with my buddy on heroic and i did not get a single achievement for it. (No achievement affecting skulls enabled)
Tried to test the first chapter solo heroic and got only few achievements for that...

Late review but...
Techland followed daddy Tencents rules and screwed over the Deluxe edition owners....
You guys could have given at least free microtransaction dlc crap for deluxe owners...

What I liked about Blood West

Annabelle.
Art style.
Developers appreciation of THICKNESS.
Western/Native theme with Lovecraftian enemies.
Fun to use weapons with different ammo types.
Highly interesting level design with plenty of secrets.
Graphical design.
Annabelle.
Interesting story that leaves you with speculation.
Good enemy design.
A couple of sexy enemies with physics ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Likeable characters.
Good voice acting.
Annabelle.
Captivating gameplay mechanics.
No difficulty slider.
Inventory management.
Item descriptions with lore.
Not a triple-A game.
Environmental storytelling.
Music and sound design.
Minimal handholding.
Items or charms that give you buffs and debuffs alike.
Did I say Annabelle?

What I'd like to see more of are enemy designs with mechanics.
For example, I liked how ghosts and spirits can be damaged only with silver and boo hags with golden ammo or fire.
It reminds me of Dark Souls 1 skeletons that can only be killed with blessed weapons. Mechanics like these force the player to think twice.
about engaging in combat with these special enemies if they aren't prepared.
Also maybe some sort of hardcore mode too?

What I didn't like about Blood West
Not really that I I didn't like but the boss fights were a little..... underwhelming.
Enemy detection is too forgiving.

Easily the best 10 bucks I've spent.
I will grab the DLC when I have money...

Although this game is a bit buggy and will definitely need more work.
It is a solid fun game with friends and why not alone too.

There is a concerning lack of John carpenter's The Thing inspired games so this fills a nice craving for more.

No idea how many devs are working on the game.
I´m guessing one or few, so people should give some slack to the guy / team
and there´s been a steady stream of updates anyways.

This game is like the very Chaos Gods themselves.
It beckons you so sweetly with promises of Quick dopamine with friends or surprisingly kind strangers.
Seduces you with Good Lore, Well written characters. Cool maps. Fun combat and game mechanics.

Then you give in and start to play it more and more, only to realize you´ve been tricked.
You spend many hours of your mortal life, Grinding away for mockingly rare Red items.
Do weekly events to earn that 1 Red dust, Run the Screaming bell over and over and over again
Endure a lot of poor connections. (Possibly because of the limiter setting)
Submit to Many paid DLCs, some that are clearly cash grabs

Is it worth it?

Yes sir,
Glory to the Dark gods over at Fatshark

Forgotten gem. We probably never will see a modern remake.
It has it´s jank and weird physics.

Jonas is much more likeable than Simon.
Chad Imperial German scientist vs Zealot American.

The story takes more grounded stand, and tries to explain itself more better.
The tank and plane scenes were perfect.
For historical and for fun reasons it makes sense, that you´re made to drive the FT17 rather than A7V
Somehow combat felt more functional than in the First one.
You actually had fellow soldiers from both sides helping you.
Not so much of lost company then...
More interesting enemy variety.
Possessed nurses (I see you devs)
Shield bearers
Werewolves

Few things before launching.
_____________________

Set +dx10
As launch option in steam, To remove the washed out look.

Disabled AA in-game and multisampling
Then go to Nvidia control panel (Or similiar for your GPU)
AA in Nvidia control panel -> I used 8x
Vsync -> On or half from max framerate.

in game Tilde key to open console and type : setmaxfps xxx
(xxx) <- your own. For Stability, i used 60. too high FPS can cause micro stutter.

in installation folder modify the config file
Cfg.RenderDevice to 1
Cfg.FOV = 120 (Too high breaks the game)
Cfg.FOVRun = 140 (Too high breaks the game)

It´s so bad that, it´s somewhat good, Really wish there would be mixed option.
The enemy variety is lacking, although interesting.
The visuals are there and sometimes beautiful for an old game like this.

The story is pretty dumb and i don´t even follow it fully, Like you are a murican in World war 1, Fair enough, but wait there is vampires, zombies, ghouls, demons, dragons, necromancy etc. Sounds like a fever dream more than a serious story.

The game has a very massive potential for a modern remake, but alas i doubt it will happen.

Giving a negative review due to me getting all the way to the Chapter 8 and then i got CTD and now when i load any save i keep getting CTD. So i didn´t get to finish the game.

Launch options i used +dx10 in steam, To disable the ugly washed out look.
Disabled AA in-game and multisampling off and enabled them in Nvidia panel.
in game Tilde key console type setmaxfps 60 for Stability.
in installation folder i modified the config file
Cfg.RenderDevice to 1 instead of 2
Cfg.FOV = 120
Cfg.FOVRun = 140
So your eyes are not glued to the end of the gun.

-------
Edit
-------
I got it working again by setting the compatibility mode to Windows 98.
So i got to finish the game.

However i will leave the review negative for a few things.
The game drags itself on and on and on, The dragon part.... Just....
The end boss fight was just dragged on and is basically move left right and shoot.
The story as stupid as it was. The ending was so bad.

It has potential for a modern remake that´s all i´m going to say and better remake the story while they´re at it.

Music isn´t bad at all tho.

Final Edit

I started playing Necrovision lost company, Only 1 hour in and i love it more than this.
Get that one instead

Maybe don´t choose Bad cop
and don´t expect the puzzles to be obvious.

Right Click 7 Days to die > Betas > Literally anything else except alpha 21

Thank you Grind pimps........
Alpha 21 is so much fun......
Who don´t like collecting 490237690247609743690745315347468575245647656854690,1
different resources to craft something obvious and simple.

I knew this game was heading downhill after removing the actually fun mechanics like the Mineral ore system... and now when you drink a jar of water, apparently you eat the whole FF can too. I liked older version having borderline realism but this is just garbage.

Feels like the characters have serious head trauma and because of that have mental IQ of 1.
Why else you´d have to read 10000000 magazines to craft a simple forge or workbench.

You know a game is good and realistic when it makes me want to drink water at good intervals.
