If you go into this game thinking you'll be able to play co-op as in you each get to control a character, that isn't the case. As far as I can tell, one player controls the movement around the world. Tried to play with my GF and was left disappointed.

Played about 2 hrs as of writing this review. Almost 75% of that was in character creator. Great game.

First of all, I love this game. It's super relaxing, and has a nice aesthetic. I love plants, and it's great to have a game I can just mess around and design with them. The controls are definitely confusing at first, but once you figure them out (placing things causes plants in a radius to grow) the game plays nicely. However, there are a couple things that I have an issue with, but it's in very early access, so there's time for improvement on this already great game.
-Great things:
-Relaxing
-Great music
-Beautiful
-Cons (as of Oct. 2020)- none of these ruin the game for me, just worth pointing them out.
-The controls take a bit to understand
- The levels to unlock things aren't cohesive, as in you're in a parking lot, then the desert, then back to not desert. Granted, I haven't cleared all of the levels so maybe they make sense in the end. I, personally, think this could be improved by having different stages, as in a jungle stage, urban stage, desert stage, etc.
-The plants don't make sense for all the levels. A monstera-type plant won't grow in the desert, and a cacti won't grow in a jungle. I can understand the aesthetics for sandbox, but for the "challenge/unlocking mode" it doesn't make sense.
-You can only put the wisteria-looking plant on overpasses in the beginning, despite having ground
-opening/loading/selection screen looks bland

Edits: 11/25/2020 Still love the game. You can pick the stages and they're nicely ordered, which is great! However, I went straight to the halloween stuff without finishing the other stages, and it marked all the other stages as completed, so now I don't know where I was.
Along that note, as far as I know, there isn't a way to check to see if you unlocked everything for the sandbox, so not knowing which stages you haven't completed yet hinders sandbox freedom.
11/25/2021: Haven't played in awhile. Came back after a ton of updates. the sucking up thing is nice, but I don't understand how to select stages I've already played. I appear to be stuck in a certain area. however, there is an option to unlock every stage I believe. Finally, showing what keys do what is pretty nice, and helpful, but I'd like to be able to deselect something I've selected. For example, if you select the chainsaw, you can't just hit 2 again to deselect, you have to click another tool. Still a relaxing and beautiful game.

I played on ps4 when it first came out. I have to say I was probably too hyped for it, as I was very disappointed with what it was at the time and stopped playing because I got bored.
However, with all the new updates, it's much more fun and about 70% less boring to play.

Neat game, great soundtrack.
Interesting enough for being a clicker/idle game. Worth it just for the the soundtrack. That's the downside too though, the music stops playing if you just leave it going for awhile.

Pretty much the closest I can get to the Uncharted Series on PC, so 8/10.
Like all games in this genre, the protagonist has multiple chances to take out the lead enemy, but bc of plot armor, doesn't, which leads to every cool historical/mythical thing being destroyed. So, if you're down for that kind of plot, or just like this style of game (such as myself) you'll probably like this, even the seemingly inherent plot flaws.

I've played this for 100+ hours and I still haven't beaten the main story line. I know that is cliche, but there's almost too much to do in this game and adding mods just makes that worse. Overall, there are some things that are kind of iffy but most of them can be fixed by searching for the right mod, such as graphics or just overall patches. 10/10

This game is weird. Some things that seem very minor can be necessary for completion, or to get a certain end. However, you can do just about whatever you want to solve puzzles, or to deal with murder-clowns.
Pretty fun until you can't figure out what to do next to progress.

This game is pretty fun. It's easy to play, but hard to master. The music is very complimentary to the style of the artwork and game play and is over all pretty relaxing. I find this game to be a good game to wind down the day to, as it can get frustrating, but never anywhere near rage quitting. Some of the objectives are never gone over, so upon the completion of a stage you question what you missed because there was never any mention of what you have to collect besides just completing the level. Over all, it's a fun, relaxing game of moderate difficulty with pretty graphics, and good music.
