Kapitein Overduidelijk is een superheld die het kwaad bestrijdt. Kapitein Overduidelijk is echter geen echte kapitein omdat hij geen kapitein is het leger, marine, luchtmacht of kustwacht. Verder werkt hij niet voor de politie of de brandweer en kan hij niet vliegen in commerciële vliegtuigen. Hij heeft overigens wel een boot, maar een opblaasboot heeft geen kapitein. Hij is echter wel een kapitein in de OSS, maar dat vergeet hij altijd. Tegenwoordig is Kapitein Overduidelijk met pensioen en geniet hij van zijn cursus Nederlands zodat hij ook op de Oncyclopedia zijn citaten kwijt kan. In tegenstelling tot wat veel mensen denken zijn er ook dingen die Kapitein Overduidelijk onduidelijk vindt.
