So subtle you won't even notice it's there.

It's a fun concept, but within moments it turns into a laggy, poppy, unplayable mess on a machine that's way over-spec for this sort of silliness. Your mileage may vary, but the furries win this round. :-3

This is a crunchy mishmash of badly-optimized cash grabbing. Input will frequently be dropped, and you have the non-aesthetic options of an out-of-place UI hanging halfway off the sides of your action screen or everything being stretched and looking like a VHS player hooked up to a 1080p display. The arranged version of the soundtrack is a nice option, but sadly not enough to justify a purchase. Even for free, I'd suggest saving yourself the frustration of interacting with this package, which smells oddly like gas station burritos and regret.

Well-written, heartfelt, and insightful. I expected this to be good but found myself completely astonished at its depth and consideration. Worth it at full price.

I kind of have a soft spot for underdog games so this one drew my attention. The characters are fun but the further you go the more leveling your characters seems to punish you by greatly increasing point requirements for performing actions while doing nothing to accelerate recovery of said points or providing much in the way of recovery items. The gameplay responsiveness is unreasonably crunchy, and shortly into the game battles just become increasingly numbing repeats of your team against armies of self-replicating enemies that just take too long to clear only to get into another same-same-same fight only moments later, taking even longer as it becomes more costly for your characters to perform their actions. If the repetition doesn't sound like a big deal to you, you may well enjoy it.

Maybe we'll get to see these fun characters in a different game at some point.

Short version: Good characters, but slow and repetitive gameplay that gets slower and more repetitive.

A well-balanced hex battlefield romp with some exploration and enjoyable characters (even the villains). Braveland has a fun graphical style and well-done music, and its gameplay feels like some classic 16-bit games you might have enjoyed. It's kind of like the recent King's Bounty games but you can pick it up and put it down much more easily. Strongly recommended and easy to enjoy!

If there is still any debate as to whether a game can be art, this title should crush it once and forever. A moving story told with RPG and puzzle elements, a fantastic score, and a jarring realization at the end for those with a good eye for details. Although it isn't long (even with the bonus after-game) you'll almost certainly come away with some kind of feeling that will stay with you. An exceedingly excellent 9 of 10 that promises more in the future.

This is just a fun beat-em-up top to bottom, complete with snappy gamepad support. Lots of challenges and also fun to play alone. If you enjoyed Dungeon Fighter you may like Elsword as well.
