Return of the Obra Dinn is one of those games that manages to keep itself in the back of your mind all the time. It's one of the first things I think of when my mind starts to drift.

The game is all about solving the mysteries of people's deaths, 60 of them to be precise, but don't think that it's going give you all the information straight up. You are going to have to go digging, noticing the subtle things. "This person is often standing next to that person, who is wearing these clothes, and this person I saw over here..." And it goes on.

If you only take the information that is directly handed to you then you will only be able to solve a handful of fates. The vast majority of what happens aboard the ship needs you to be attentive and analytical to figure out. Piecing together every little detail that the game indirectly gives you.

You have to make assumptions, educated guesses connections, and only then, will you discover the truth of the Obra Dinn.

However, this game is not for everyone. Only bother buying this game if you enjoy having to stretch your mental muscles, and put your intellect to the test. I would not recommend this game for everyone, but if it seems like something that would interest you, then I would strongly recommend it. My only wish is that I could forget the answers so I could solve it again.

This game had me hooked from start to finish (100% completion), and I just wish that more people could experience it.

P.S. The art style and music are both amazing and fit the grim theme perfectly.

I should first start by saying that I, was at first extremely reluctant to purchase. A friend had recommended it to me and I was not yet convinced, but after having gathered more than 50 time pieces, I can say for sure that I could not have been more wrong. This game is beautiful, in everything from its music to its humour, to just about everything. There is no words I can say to stress how amazing this game is. Even if you aren't particularly into platformers, I assure you this is an experience like no other.
