'Baldur's Gate 3' is an incredible experience that kept me engaged throughout its 100 hour run time.
This is a top down view, turn based role playing game based on 5th edition D&D. While my time with D&D has been limited, I found all of the systems in place here to be intuitive and fun!

The biggest complement I can give this game is that it provides an unrivaled level of freedom throughout the course of its three acts. More importantly, there are consequences to how each scenario is tackled. Even though there are set scenarios that most people will see, every conversation I've had with friends has highlighted a level of nuance built within the scenario as we all tackled everything differently.

While I would talk my way out of most fights, some people would charge in. The outcome and method we chose for each scenario determined our starting point for the following scenarios. By the end of act 3 I could confidently say that I had a unique experience compared to my peers.

I can go on and complement everything about this game, from its engaging storytelling, to the iconic characters, to the amazing music score. At the time of writing this, there are a few bugs in act 3, but if you are a fan video games, you owe it to yourself to at least try out this masterpiece!
