This is a review coming right off of me beating the newest title by fromsoftware, "Elden Ring", and honestly this game is really good in my opinion. The world itself is essentially a straightforward path with some small trails branching off ever slightly, so it is a pretty set in stone type game where you'll essentially be completing the game like you would in almost any other play through boss wise, though the order of when you complete them (certain bosses at least) can vary a few different ways, that way you can fight them by preference, and the way you beat them (weapons, armor, spells, etc) can change in a multitude of ways, however you want to basically. I think it's the best game for anyone that's into speed running seeing as how it's rather straightforward if you happen to be into that. It is a difficult game when first starting off, like with any souls game, it just takes time and a bit of dedication to learning the mechanics and how to best apply or abuse them, which I get some people don't enjoy, so I won't hold it against you if you wanted to refund it after dying to the tutorial boss 20 times in a row. I personally recommend (like with the Elden Ring review) that if you're having trouble, or if the game is frustrating (if not both), take a break and come back to it later or get some help from a friend or another player in the dark souls discord. I originally didn't enjoy this game when I first started playing, it was actually until about the 5 hour mark before I really enjoyed it and got a firm grasp of how to play it. Which seems to be the biggest thing that turns players away from the series, the time it takes to actually understand it and enjoy it is a problem, so all I can say to a newer player is that I personally think you should just watch an in depth review and some game play of it by someone that is decent, as watching someone that's been playing the games for a long time will make it seem like it's not difficult in the slightest. If you still like the look of it after this then give it a try for yourself, see if you like it while playing it, if you don't in the first two hours and want to refund it that's fine, but I'd recommend you bear with it for a little while, see if your opinion changes with time and experience, you don't have to do this yourself but as someone who came to enjoy the game a good while after the refund window was closed, that's the best advice I can give. Anyway, I'd give it an 8.5/10, it's solid, could use some work, but definitely a good game to start with (would recommend Elden RIng before this but it's up to the player) if wanting to get a taste for the souls series.

Great time killer, repetitive but in a way that's enjoyable as there is so much content and variability that you can repeat the same game in a number of different ways. Not to mention it can be modded however the player likes. Overall, pretty solid, 9/10

I haven't quite finished the game yet, but I personally love it. The actual story mode can be run through exceptionally fast, although, it's the amount of free roaming and variety available to the player that makes it good. The weapons, armors, spells, locations, bosses, etc, they're optional but they're available for whoever wants them. The main story requires maybe 6 or so bosses, but the length of available content between each boss is easy to come across and try before needing much progression in the actual story. Overall, 10/10 simply for it being a very solid all rounder. I can only think of two issues, being a couple visual bugs in the landscape or enemies, and that the game is considerably difficult, scaring off any new players not willing to overcome said difficulty; however, that's the purpose of the game, it's to be a considerably difficult challenge at the very least on your first play through, so I can't really count that towards an issue, leaving just the few visual bugs I've personally found throughout the game from time to time.

Update: Beat the game twice now and I still thoroughly enjoy it. The fact I can play through it several times for different endings and with varying builds and loadouts is really enjoyable. It makes a repetitive game repetitive in a good way, as it has great replay ability. A majority of the boss fights are memorable and enjoyable (some a little more annoying or reused than I'd like), which overall makes it a great experience. However, I do understand this type of game (along with any other dark souls/fromsoftware title) isn't for everyone, if it's your first time playing a souls game it will be difficult at first, though if you give it enough time (or come from a previous souls game like myself coming from dark souls 3) the game gets much easier, it just takes some experience and learning how things work. How to work with or around certain mechanics or how to make a solid build, these are part of the learning stages, which I get some people don't want to stick around for, which is fine because like I said, game isn't for everyone, but I would thoroughly recommend that if you want to try elden ring, you should stick with it, even when it becomes frustrating or annoying, as you'll find a work around for this. The game is huge, if you can't beat a boss right away, try exploring new areas and running through smaller, easier dungeons to level up some. Or if a boss is too easy you can choose to limit yourself however you want, the way the game is played is completely up to you.

Overall, I personally love the game, if you enjoy challenging games then you might enjoy this. If you don't enjoy challenging games but still want to give it a try I'd recommend watching some videos or in depth reviews of the game itself. I originally didn't enjoy souls games due to their difficulty to a player that hasn't played a souls game before, but overtime it grew on me with how difficult it seemed when first beginning and how much easier it became once you understood how to deal with a problem at hand. If you're not into that sort of thing, that's fine as well. Very solid game, only thing I can complain about is the few graphic errors or the actual performance, as it has crashed a couple times throughout my playtime, but otherwise it's a fantastic game for anyone that's into the genre. If it didn't have those errors I'd probably give it 10/10, but with that I'd say closer to 9.5/10 ish, just really good altogether.

Great game, great story and background building for such a short amount of time. Great endings and visuals overall.

Honestly, it's a pretty good game. The mechanics are well done, the artwork is well done, and the abilities the roles get are well done. But there is one thing that makes me give this game an overall 6/10, the community.

Survivor claims are treated as "100% guilty". If you're the role you claim you are, and your will proves that/backs you up, you may get hung by the other roles anyways. I understand that this is a game about guessing and getting clues about who is what, but I mean, you get punished for being completely honest and doing exactly what your role does by your fellow town roles. They'd sooner believe an executioners claim of being sheriff than believe a survivor claim, so if you're actually survivor, you're almost indefinitely dead and there's almost nothing that can change that.

The community is, for the most part, decent or nice, with the rest being racist/salty to any and all they come in contact with, in game.

Now, for the core game play and how the game works with its roles and mechanics, I give it a 9/10.

Overall I like it, you might too if playing with friends and avoiding the community whereas they're rather questionable with their behavior or all chat messages.

This is a pretty good game altogether, but throwing in some mods makes it that much better.

I like the game. Those are the best things I can say. Wasn't amazing but wasn't bad. Aviation battles are fun, ground battles are okay, and naval battles are meh. Personally, I don't like the upgrade system they have here, where you upgrade and research vehicles/modifications for said vehicles, and the only way to make them complete researching is doing well in game. Now I don't think it's a bad idea, I think it works well for people who like that kinda stuff, but personally I don't find it all that fun. Reminds me of grinding back in the day on the old pokemon games, except here you don't stick with one pokemon, you keep switching and upgrading them. Best comparison I have of this is if you tried to make every pokemon available level 100. Basically one big grind of a war game. Aesthetics are good, graphics are great, gameplay is pretty good. I give it an 8/10 (I may give it more or less later on). Not to mention how only 22% of players purchased 50 modifications, that's not many at all. AND I ONLY PLAYED 5 HOURS. Either people don't like the upgrade system and quit immediately, buy their way to the top such as "therussianbadger" (don't get me wrong I love his videos but he doesn't show the behind the scenes stuff such as upgrading), or they just download it and try to do it slowly but surely. I'm on of those players. Well, that or some people can't figure out how to get Gaijan and Easy Anti Cheat to work. Overall a solid game, will play more in the future.

I have to say this is a pretty creative game and is pretty fun. Although the last time I played was during the summer of 2018, I may start playing again. I’ve won maybe 4 rounds but it was fun due to the amount of wacky and food related items there are. They make the game feel like a Cuisine Royale. Good game overall and couldn’t find any real problems.

Imagine a game where a watermelon can kill you. Imagine a game where you can make Skyrim Draugr fight teletubbies. Imagine a game where you can do anything you want. This is that game. It’s hilarious and the amount of things you can do is basically endless. I spent many hours doing random, stupid stuff but it was fun.

Solid game overall, the bugs add to the experience for a funny factor, the base game with dlc has a good amount of playtime, and with mods it's a relatively different yet even more enjoyable experience altogether. 9/10
