All prices were reduced. The game is now no longer extortionate to play in comparison to the content on offer. This is the only positive thing this review has to offer, cherish it.

This review has been updated because it'd be unfair to leave it up outdated after such wonderful changes as:
- Revamped menu UI, a wonderful lick of paint on a crumbling foundation
- Voice chat with no push to talk, on by default of course
- Stuttering if you "have too many friends"

The fact the newest updates are still releasing with problems like this, paired with the announcement that the game will be receiving reduced support has pretty much killed any hope I had left for PAYDAY 3.
They insist we let them cook and then turn down the fire when it's barely leaving lukewarm?

What's the plan here? Release your next co-op game since PAYDAY 2 and pray that fourth time is the charm? Baxter won't succeed if you can't get your studio's flagship franchise into a better state than the first entry released in 2011

Previously this review contained a passage commenting that Armour 2.0 sounds promising, I no longer believe this to be the case if the number of people working on the game is being further reduced from the prior size which was already producing buggy patches which would receive hotfixes months later.

If Armour 2.0 sees the light of day at all and the game isn't just canned, I'd anticipate we'll see it arrive in a patch which breaks the game. Time to wait another month! Maybe it'll work this time!

I don't believe this game deserves anymore of my time rewriting this review when I could realistically copy-paste my prior review in here with the comments about pricing removed and it would all still be applicable.

TL;DR: Screw whoever is calling the shots here, this game has been horribly mismanaged to the point it looks like sabotage.
