It has all the elements to make it a good game, but a lack off narrative, clunky gameplay, co-op forced down your throat at every turn and a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ UI and control scheme butchers what the game could actually be. I wouldn't even get it on a sale.

Why the ♥♥♥♥ is the trailer audio running in the background whenever I start this up? And why did they stuff the loud trailer for their second game in your face whenever you go to quit the game?

The game is lacking in providing a good level of feedback and clarity in combat, as well as having no map in a world that's very maze-like. Furthermore the weapon selections is very poor and unimaginative, and buyable "upgrades" for your character are not very noticable and it's hard to get an idea of how much of an improvement they are with no data given.

The game has some challenging encounters and a few interesting enemies, but fails to reward you in an interesting way after the battle. The narrative is another point that is very under-developed and I often took breaks because there was nothing in the story that pushed me to continue.

The game does offer the occasional interesting level design, but I feel that it still comes up short in the ways it could utilize and exploit it.
The combat is somewhat good but more needs to be added than simply roll, attack, charged attack, and ranged attack. As these things make it very repetitive, even though it tries to make up for it with diverse enemies to varying success.

Its drive to be simplistic falls to the detriment of making anything feel seasoned and satisfying, and does not tease you to continue the journey for what's around the corner. The game also never gave me a feeling to go back in just to experience the combat, overcome challenges or enjoy any characters one more time.

It's a colorful dish with little flavor.

Too many copy-paste enemies. A very backwards revive and health system which removes any sense of adventure and progress and forces you to take small bites whenever you want to journey and play conservatively to a fault. The game feels like it was a first project by game designers and lack polish and creativity.

The "RPG" aspect of the game is also very weak and probably rushed.

The game has athmosphere which lasts for about 10 minutes until you start to experience the gameplay which is a mixture of boredom, frustration, and repetition.
Oh and the worst part? if you die twice without "recovering" your sould you lose ALL coins (or seashells or whatever they are), with no way of getting them back and no chest or bank to deposit them in before going back out.

I recommend this game to no one unless you're into chronic CBT. Keep your money and buy a good game instead.

If you liked Sniper Elite V2 then this will definately entertain you. More options are available for each map with (odd) customization options for your rifle and loadout. Every stage allows for a wide variety of strategies and sometimes employing creative problem solving. The latter I wish there was more of.

Although the singleplayer has fun stages, the variety of the guns felt somewhat bland, and the Welrod pistols is a must if you wish to remain hidden and not be overrun, which makes the other secondaries obsolete. The ballistic aspect is the big seller for this game, and it is just as much if not more enjoyable than SE:V2. The gadgets gives the gameplay more depth and more player freedom. you don't feel very locked in how you have to do things. Patience would be the only criteria you have to have, which you must have in those nail-biting moments when you're right under the enemy's nose and have to get through unnoticed or risk a dangerous firefight!

The story could be more engaging and interesting. The "Wunderwaffe" (wonder weapon) in this game isn't presented as exciting as the V2 was in the previous title. A lot of things in the story feels rushed so you don't quite get any depth of characters, albeit the characters are a limited group. The gameplay is quite solid and lacking in some bits, does in fact have a story which has its exciting moments, but with a very anticlimactic ending, unfortunately.

I will give this game a recomendation but that is just for the cool mechanics and improvements of the maps that makes your choices greater so you don't feel forced in how to complete your mission. The story was it's biggest let down, much potential but it spent very little time building it up for a execution which didn't really come.
Get it on sale when it's around 10-15 bucks.
