Mixed reviews because people have more issues with behind the scenes nonsense rather then if the game is actually good to people outright lying about the game because China=Bad. Yes The whole situation there makes things difficult and leaves a bad taste in peoples mouth. The Devs are good people they have explained several times they will only give your data if your govt demands your data and sends them legal notice, do you thing for one second any other company wouldn't do the same if sent legal stuff? How much info is on your twt you spew out? You think Elon isn't gonna give you up? Game companies aren't decteralized crypto masters, if your connecting online all your base belong to whoever sends legal threats, that's just how it is. Devs said they aren't just gonna mine your data for china, but that's not gonna change anyones attitude on it. Is it a mobile game company? Yeah, netease doesn't have a track record for making PC games that are good, as far as I know this and the Marvel games are their first foray into doing something bigger then a mobile ad game, lets give them room to cook and see what comes out. People call it tried and done because there are a billion survival games out there? And? There is a ton for a reason, people enjoy them. Does it break the mold? Add anything new? No. Does it need to? No, not everyone needs to innovate gaming. What I want is a game I enjoy and enjoy playing. This is it, I've been having a ton of fun with it. It's like a mash up of ALOT of games which does irk me in some regards, I could have done without the pokemon farmers from Palworld. But the Secret World Vibes, The stranger things Vibes, I'm here for it and loving it. The gunplay is decent, not great, but this isn't call of duty or a dedicated FPS. I do agree like I said earlier that it's a mashup of alot of buzz games so it's a master of none. But doesn't have to be a master, just has to be fun. Me and my Warband enjoy it and that's enough for me. I just think alot of people are freaking out on alot of these newer games for no real reasons other then they can instead of just saying. F it, We ball and play the damn the thing.
