Game is great, when it's not crashing. For me that is nearly constant. Min settings, max settings, admin privs, every where in between. Crash.

"I found some soup that only just turned "stale", should I eat it? It doesn't say "rotten"."
"I mean I have fresh food if-"
"I ate it."
"Are you okay?"
"I should be fine" - My brother, one day before dying to upset tummy.

A game that gets better with every update. Admittedly, RTS/FPS hybrids is a niche genre of games. It may not have a giant player base, but every second of the game is so enjoyable especially when you play with other people. I think it is also important to note that the devs are extremely nice and very interactive with their community. Despite what you may read about small player counts (which is true, to be fair) the devs are constantly talking and discussing things with their community. They want their game to succeed and they are giving it all they have to see it succeed. Not to mention they've gone through some hardships with their old publisher not paying them the money they were owed.

I can't even think of a perfect way to describe the beauty that is ArmA. A realistic military simulator with an endless amount of community content and a easy and streamlined way to create your own. Combine all of this and you have probably the best military game on the face of the planet. I mean this game is used by militaries for training purposes. I mean really, the possibilities with this is endless, I even created a RTS scenario. Yea, I turned a realistic FPS game into a RTS.

Amazing game, but still needs a Warden versus Prisoner multiplayer mode imo. And no, Paradox did not ruin or over monetize this game. Yes the game had no paid DLC before Paradox but the paid DLC are expansion packs that add to the core game, not needed while many other Paradox games seem like demos without the DLCs.

Early Access Review
As someone who has closely followed the series and eagerly expected anything or anyone to take Mount and Blade closer to its full potential, I am very pleased with this installment.

Before I continue please note that this is early access, so it will have bugs and balancing issues AND before you say "I'm tired of EA being used as an excuse ..." note that Taleworlds updated the game EVERY day for two weeks based on player feedback, and now they have moved to weekly so they can better test the updates (as some have broken the game and saves). They also put Warband through Early Access until its full release and it turned out amazing, so there is no reason to say this will not be the same.

With that said this is a sandbox RPG at its finest. In the way that ArmA is a milsim this could be looked at as a feudal sim, with the world and its inhabitants reacting realistically and behaving as such and this makes every play-through unique. On top of the hours I have here, I have 200 more in the beta and I can say Taleworlds has done nothing but improve the game over its predecessors and itself and this becomes more and more evident with every update.

They have fixed the A18 performance issues, for the most part. So, now, I do recommend this great game.

It may be confusing and even feel clunky at first, but if you bear with it, especially if you have friends, this game can be a lot of fun. I would describe this game as Minecraft, but more realistic and hardcore, so if you think or even like Minecraft and want something similar, but with more challenge, I would highly recommend.

PS: Early - to mid game, this game is terrifying at night, I mostly find myself gathering stuff and making a todo and to craft list during the day and doing that at night, or I just sit staring out the window praying that a zombie doesnt start tearing the building I'm in apart, seriously, the second I hear a zombie banging at that door, I hide.

It was a really fun game with a lot of potential but one thing drove me away from the game: the fact that you must have a variety of units that you take to battle. It was not always like this and it is not like it is overpowered. I just want to take a bunch of the same swordsman, why would I want to take weaker swordsman if I have stronger ones? There is no point in having more than one of a unit because the game will not allow you to take them to battle. Kingdom Under Fire II is a far superior game, too bad no one plays it :/

Whats wrong with you anon?

Anyone who says this game is pay-to-win, is just butthurt. This game is hard and unforgiving, it will not hold your hand and those people who are used to that get upset their 10 K/D translates into 0.1 here. Its free, so of course there is monetization with cosmetics, but what about power? All guns in the game are "side-grades" and the only thing that adds power are upgrades to your skills, suit, etc. that **can** be purchased with real money **BUT** the power disparity is in skill and experience and not in game resources. That power mentioned before helps situationally but it is not a straight upgrade. I would really recommend watching Cyrious on YouTube for a better explanation. Also, I see a lot of complaints about hackers, which is very, very rare in this game. I swear 99.99% of the time you will think it is a hacker but it is just a MLG pro gamer at this game. Imagine playing COD, Halo or Tarkov against the tippy top players. They can get real nuts man and I am not one of those player. After all these hours I am finally averaging my account to a ONE K/D and Im passed BR 100. but:
TLDR; Anyone complaining about P2W or hackers is butthurt that this game doesnt hold their hand and protect them from better players.

I have far more hours, I just play on the client from their website instead.
Anyways, this is a combined arms sandbox game at its finest and with almost unlimited potential. The devs themselves stated that the goal of this is to bring in galactic warfare similar to the OG Battlefront 2's galactic conquest, but instead of a a turn based strategy that allowed you to play the battles, you'll be a man in first person (or in third if you're in a vehicle) the whole time. Right now though it just three faction that can have around 300 players each fighting for control over a huge continent using men, quads, fast attack vehicles, spawn trucks, light tanks, heavy tanks, fighters, several other types of aircraft that I do not know how to describe, and even a f****** fleet carrier. Yea. So again, why are you not playing?

So, look, these games are NOT overrated. If you love a good RPG. this game is for you. If you love medieval warfare. this game is for you. If you love games with huge battles, this game is for you. If you love games with sieging, this game is for you. If you love games that change dynamically and have an unpredictable world, this game is for you. If you love FPS sword/bow/horse fighting games, this game is for you. Hell, even if you love RTS games (like I do. I'm a big c&c, Age of Empires, Civilization, etc fan), then this game FOR YOU. And I do not just mean this particular one, hell pick up a copy of all of them. And, yes, you bet your ass I have every cent saved for Bannerlord.

*EDIT* I got Bannerlord in closed beta for my birthday, and I bought the game the second it released, now Bannerlord tops my most played games list and this is second.
