This is such an old genre of games, so let me reiterate. Please get rid of forced zooming and tooltip mechanics that can't be turned off should be reserved for unique/difficult features or points where it seems someone's stuck. If the buildings are locked, mention it instead of giving us the task and wasting time, that should be spent finding the pause button, opening menus we're not even supposed to learn about yet. Every game like this has ten hour tutorials but we already know how to play video games... or at least use a computer.

Also, steam... I don't go around recommending things to every person I meet. This metric is outdated, I'll lean toward saying no on this game just because there are so many others to choose from, but it's plainly obvious I decided on my own not to get to the point of 'giving it a chance' because these basic vanilla things are still a problem.
