DEATHLOOP is an epic masterpiece in almost every aspect. It takes your hand as a helpless child awakened on the shores of Blackreef and guides you towards your purpose in the most whimsical fashion. It's filled with strange and extravagant elements. The characters, especially the visionaries, are atypical and unorthodox but at the same time very well-written and engrossing. I fell in love with Charlie, Fia, and 2-BIT. I wish there were more quests and interactions involving these characters. Overall, the story is humorous, mysterious, and bizarre and combined with one of the best pacings I've ever seen in a videogame, satisfies any narrative enthusiast who approaches the game.

Gameplay-wise, you will never get bored in DEATHLOOP. The diversity of slabs, trinkets, and weapons allows you to start each loop with a different approach. The stealth abilities such as Aether and Shift allow you to get very creative in dealing with enemies and completing your objectives and they only get more enthralling by acquiring their upgrades in each consecutive run. I just wish the AI was more complicated, and the game was overall more challenging. The combat might not be very demanding, but the puzzles and side quests scattered around the maps are filled with mystery and sometimes require you to search every nook and cranny to find their required solutions.

The visuals and music are exquisite. You can tell that the developers have done excessive research on the architecture, music, and fashion style of the '60s. That being said, the game preserves its unique identity by adding extravagant elements that are specific to each location and character.

Overall, I enjoyed DEATHLOOP more than I had anticipated and totally recommend it to anyone who is looking for a unique and delicate experience.

Thank you for reading my review.
