Say it's 2am and I'm walking down a dark alley, happily playing my adult themed visual novels on my Deck, when someone tries to mug me. At 1.5 pounds the Deck is heavy enough to cause some damage if chucked into your face, or at the very least disorient the attacker and give me a chance to escape. There would only be one chance to throw the Deck, which is why I'm thinking I would tie some rope around it and carry it attached to the rope. That way if I miss my first throw, I can reel the Deck back in for another throw at the attacker. Or I could even swing it around at them like a flail.
