This game is a good idea. I often come back to it playing it for days on end, yet I cannot in good conscience recommend anyone buy it. Paradoxical as that might be. Why you might ask?

1. This game is in dire need of an engine upgrade. If you drive more than 10m in any direction the game stutters something fierce. Add to that the crappy handling of most vehicles and you have spare part expenses waiting to happen, and don't get me started on how badly optimised everything is. getting frames in this game is like running Crysis without overheating your PC's.

2. This game is BEGGING for multiplayer. So many things in this game would be so much better if you could spread the workload between friends.

Those are just the main issues that need to be fixed. Once that is though this game will get ALL my recommendations. SO if the devs start listening to their players and give the game a face/engine rework and add multiplayer I think they might find that a booming player base is waiting in the wings

Fills that itching need for creating your own car factory perfectly.

There are certain aspects that make the game slightly more tedious than you would expect from an automation game, however I am hopeful that the dev will address this during the rest of the Early Access QoL updates as there are PLENTY of suggestions in the forums already

Edit: The most recent update did include the feature to automate the most tedious part of the game thus far and has improved the quality of mid - late gameplay significantly! Now I can finally grow my factory without having to worry about micromanaging everything!

Let me start by saying the game has it's issues. Most early access games do, and although I am very much against this modern way of game development since I think it damages the games reputation in some instances forever, I do have to point out that this company is doing it properly.

They are taking in feedback and bringing out regular updates.

Now on to the stuff we actually care about:
Pro's:
- One of the things that I enjoy most about this game is being able to go to places that you have visited or know well and getting a fairly well rounded map of the area with major landmarks actually being true to their real life counter parts. How many of us haven't spent a goodly amount of time pondering our reactions and decisions on what buildings we would occupy should the Zombie outbreak happen in our home town?
- There is a large amount of playability in the game between events and important decisions, with more to come.
- The game feels good* (see cons) and if you know how to manage your resources it is pretty easy to get your colony up to a decent size.

Cons:
- Firstly I need to preface that this is posted with the game less than 2 weeks old so things WILL change if I am looking at the current pace of updates. That being said the game needs a ton of optimisations. The second my colonies reach 60+ my frame rates start to rapidly drop. Currently with a colony of 98 on my one play through I avg around 34 fps, my colony at 230+ survivors struggles along at a heart stopping 9 fps. This is on a system that can easily play Cyberpunk and similar titles at high+ graphic settings.
- There is currently a slightly limited amount of items that can be researched and crafted. This leads to situations where you can complete all research and buildings available to you very quickly(relatively speaking ofcourse) and then you either just twiddle your thumbs or start a new colony. This too seems to be on the road map but this review is for the current release.

All and all I very much enjoy the game thus far and I am looking forward to seeing where it goes in the next couple of weeks

This game does everything right. It's not perfect by any means but what is? The developers have pulled together a community that strives toward the same goal, they don't force the super credits down your throat but they are easily available and they even give them to you for free in missions, they are constantly working on balancing and are transparent and active within their community.

As for the game, there is no other like it, my friends and I are constantly itching to drop down into hell and face the armies of Automotons and hordes of bugs, racing toward the front-line with managed democracy guiding our way and liberty welcoming us.

Lets start with the basics ~
1. The artwork is fantastic. It brings me back to my childhood where I would spend my free time colouring trying desperately to stay in the lines.
2. The narration is really funny if the kid inside your heart hasn't been smothered to death yet. Classic puns, super shower thoughts with just a dash of dad humour. Perfection. Some people might not like the reading, but it really ties things together. Overall the narration and text actually made me LOL a ton
3. The controls. Fairly straight forward. Left click to charge a jump, release to jump. Some special tricks to be announced as you proceed.
4. Playing the game on Baller mode, since there really is no point in playing a platformer on anything BUT the highest of settings makes the game a good balance between frustrating failures and determined victories. I find myself living vicariously through ball and being determined to beat every challenge just to sow the game I'm better than it!

Overall if you are looking for a fun, good looking and stress free game to unwind after your busy day at work give this a go. I'd give this a solid 7 swooshes.

To conclude. Having had the pleasure of playing this game in it's pre-alpha "this is a semi fun idea I had" phase, which was a wire mesh compared to what it is now, I can honestly say it is amazing to see the progress made in only a few months. I know a lot of love went into this and it shows. Do your self a favour and give it a shot. well worth the price tag

How in the world are you going to make a game that does not allow someone to select their game language in the game launcher??? And failing that how do you not let the game default to the system language??? Failing that once again how the HELL do you not allow for some sort of menu within the first 5s of the game opening so that I don't have to try and decipher Greek or whatever stupid language I don't understand the game is currently running in???

No, I need to download language packs from some server and the replace the language files that are currently installed from an external CDN just so I can understand what the buttons in character selection is...

Honestly, I was kinda excited to play a 'new' MMO but 5min with this ♥♥♥♥ after spending 4 hours to download and install and I've already uninstalled. Seriously, get your ♥♥♥♥ together

Interesting concept and pretty well executed. The story is very well done although a little short at this point, but I am certain updates will come that will extend this. Luckily there is plenty of other stuff to do outside the main story that can keep you entertained should it be needed before the story gets updated.

It is really a different feeling to control a colony of ants and to be able to build your ant army around the play style you wish to use

Great game play. Combat felt smooth and exciting. Cool concept and good story for the campaign. A little short as I completed it on Hard in under 7 hours, but still an enjoyable experience and I am temped to start a fresh campaign on the most difficult level

Right so here is how it stand atm for me:

The game is very fun with lots of variability in the way you choose to play. The concept is pretty unique and refreshing and it is easy to pick up.

That being said; I am not a fan of the fact that your game is reliant on other people failing instead of you failing. The idea of a tower defence, at least is my eyes, is defending your kingdom, town, city or home. I often find myself in situations where I fight back from 4 waves of leaked enemies, finally getting my power level and gold growth back up to par and getting excited for the next few rounds to see if I can fight it back just for the idiot on the other side of the map too let too many things through and getting their king killed. All of a sudden my amazing comeback is pointless and my victory feels hollow, rather I would like to be able to play an endless wave for as long as I possible can manage after my opponents die, not only for some extra XP or in game goodies but also just too see how well the build that I envision will hold up.

Sure you automatically win when your opponents in the game die, but why should that end my run? At the very least I would like to be able to keep playing that game until I fail as well. Maybe this could be an extra game mode added in future updates? Or maybe I am just too new at the game to have found it yet, either way those are my thoughts.

Still highly recommended for the price

Fun game with lots of opportunity to use your noggin for optimized thinking. It feels very much like the love child between Factorio and Satisfactory which I love since I have a ton of time in both those games, however there is a bunch of 'quality of life' improvements needed to get the same smooth and enjoyable feeling from the game.

Being able to replace belts/buildings with heigher tier versions without deleting them first and seeing building output vs required input and mech/bot movement speed upgrades just to name a few. I am very impressed with what the game is already and will be playing a bunch more to see how far I can push this early access version. I cannot wait to see what the next few patches hold
