Most of the characters in this game are written amazingly. The game design is the worst I've ever experienced, but that's not why I wouldn't recommend this game. This is far and away the buggiest and jankiest PC port I have ever played.

The game crashes often, and due to not being able to save mid mission, can cause over half an hour of play time to be lost at times.

Most recently with the latest update, there's a delay when you try to type stuff in other applications while the game is open. The delay is so bad that you can type out a sentence and sit there for 30 seconds watching the text slowly appear.

While the game is open, my PC experiences massive lag that makes it almost unusable with the game open. I have a Ryzen 9 7900x, 32gb of ram, and an RTX 4070ti. I capped the fps at 90 so that my gpu and cpu utilization aren't too high and it seems to do nothing to stop the slow down from occurring. Playing games that pin my cpu and gpu more than this one doesn't result in the same lag.

When trying to switch to another application while the game is open by hitting the windows key doesn't actually release your cursor of the game which results in this frustrating song and dance of hitting the windows key, realizing my cursor isn't freed, hitting alt+tab to free it, except because I hit the windows key alt+tab focuses back to the game so I need to hit alt+tab again to finally interact with another application.

I can keep going with the many more technical issues I ran into but this is getting long enough and conveys my point well enough. How a AAA game can be released in a state like this is baffling to me. Except it didn't just get released, it's been out for nearly 5 years on steam. It's unacceptable to have the game be in this current state. I am an avid PC player and would almost never say this, but for this game, it's probably best to suffer playing it on console at 30fps.
