Starfield was a game I was super excited for because i loved Fallout 4 and Skyrim. Starfield isn't a terrible game its just so aggressively mediocre Its just not something I can recommend to anyone right now. Todd Howard said this game was Next Gen then we do conversations snap directly to peoples faces like Oblivion? A game from 2 generations ago. Fallout 4 handled conversations so much better. This game is vast empty and boring. All 4 of the main human companions have the exact same moral compass so they get mad ad just about everything you do.

This game just feels like they took everything that was fun about Fallout 4 and just made it worse. In a future space game we cant scrap the items we pick up for parts like in Fallout 4 when in reality it seems like future tech should be able to do that more easily then the meager technology found in the Commonwealth. Gun crafting by having to do the research tree just makes crafting more tedious. The outpost system feels like a huge step back you cant create a thriving living colony or little city just set up miners and have a few people kind of around. The combat is ok but with out vats its missing something. Even Skyrim had a cinematic camera for some kills. In just about every way that matters this game is a step back from fallout 4 not a step forward. I wanted to see what the team at Bethesda could with time to refine all the parts from Fallout 4 that I loved. And instead of refining them and making them deeper they are so much more shallow and tedious then they were before. Speaking of more step backs from Fallout 4 a mele build in Fallout 4 was kind of just one of my favorite things. The blitz perk just made it so fun. But Starfield doesn't really have anything like that. Mele builds in Starfield just don't work It's not fun and doesn't make you feel powerful.

I mean the ship building is cool. I just wish more parts had stairs so we could walk up to different parts of the ship instead of using the incredibly slow ladder animations or trying to just boost pack up to the next level. I mean I got to give the environment art team all the praise here. The detail in all the ships the interiors the computer screens the white boards the food items it's really all top notch. However the animation department needs to use mocap or something peoples faces are just super unnatural when they talk. The people do look way better in general until they start to talk. But maybe that crazy forced snap zoom camera making their face fill up the screen is also part of why it's so uncomfortable to talk to people in Starfield. I really hope Bethesda can No Man Sky this game or Cyperpunk 2077 this game get a 2.0 patch that really just improves the core of this game. Because as it is right now after Fallout 76 and now Starfield. I just have little to no excitement for the Next Elder Scrolls game. And I really wouldn't ever care to see a Starfield 2 until they can make Starfield a game that feels way better then it does now.

Ori and the Blind Forest has A brilliant story that is moving and simple and very well told.
The game has a beautiful art style and the sound design is super solid.

Unfortunately that is all I can say good about this game. The controls were frustrating and felt unresponsive more than half of the time. The games escape sequences are brutal and usually aren’t difficult to figure out but the unresponsive controls or relying on the enemy to fire at a specific time to reach the next area is beyond annoying and frustrating. If shoving razor blades under your fingernails sounds like a great time you might enjoy this game because this is nothing but pain and suffering. No matter how good the story and art style is, it can't save the literal cancer this game play is.

I give this game a 1 out of 10.

This is possible the worst designed Borderlands of them all. You feel weak and unable to kill monsters through out most of the story. This game has been out a while and still feels like it is poorly optomized. If you are a huge fan of the franchise it's just more of the same. The Borderlands series's high point was Borderlands 2 and its only gotten worse since then. if you must buy wait for the game to go on sale.

Early Access Review
Satisfactory is easily one of the best games I have played in the last decade and probably in my top 10 favorite games of all time. Update 5 was an incredible quality of life update and I cant wait to see how the game is updated for the better on it's way to 1.0. The game is in early access and feels like it is more fun and has more polish then many triple A games that have come out in recent years. The game is worth the price and hell I would consider this game worth 60 dollars. But I'm glad the price is 30 dollars makes it easier for new people to be willing to try. The game is also a blast to play with friends. 100% would recommend.
