The best co-op shooter ever made. It's fun, easy to understand, hard to master, has a billion mods, it's insanely cheap.

The story is pretty good, but feels whatever

Should you buy it when it goes on a 2 dollar sale? Obviously. Is this a high quality game? No, lmao

This game is outdated, there is no way getting around the fact that each entry into this series iterated on almost everything seen here in a million wonderful ways.

However
The raw atmosphere presented with in this game; the value in seeing where it all started from, and the pleasantness of how short the game is still to be valued. Good game, so is the whole series.

Meh

This game gives me an actual headache if I play it for around 30 minutes to an hour and it's amazing
Not the most complex hack and slash but a very fun although overwhelming one

I could totally see this game becoming part of my occasional Sekiro marathon
It's a fun lil sword fighting snack for people who wanna demo Sekiro or already loved it

Blessed game

This game is in the earliest access imaginable and it still has some of the best monster designs I've seen in forever, combined with fantastic co-op, great gameplay loop, and much more.

Fantastic

Due to 3rd party server troubles I have no doubt this game will be seen as a flop for a good long while.

But
This game, when it is playable, is currently one of the best multiplayer experiences I have had the job of playing in
People have wished overkill dissolved, their members fired, and even sent death threats. Which are all terrible things to do, espescially since this company has been utterly fantastic when it comes to listening to their fanbase for years.
They're working on fixes, they're working on an offline mode, and more content. I am excited for every last thing these people do, and I hope some day this review won't be about the server but about how fantastic this game is.

To overkill

Across console and PC I have over 2 weeks in this game alone

I love Payday 2 so much
It's been glitchy, it's been a mess, occasionally you need to mod it just for some heists to work
But they're super generous with it's price and the dlc's price, and NOTHING will ever beat the pure high I get from mowing down waves of cops with an LMG while in a few 100 pounds of Kevlar while yelling at my friends, all of us running for the escape

A genius game. I hope Payday 3 will be all it was but better and more.
