Empty the beach for sand
Loot furniture and lava in hell
Farm bosses
Loot en masse
Dig, Fight, loot, Build, repeat!

- while it uses some of the crafting/randomworldgenerator/sandbox aspects of minecraft it also adds great rpg elements which takes this game far away from being a 2D version minecraft!
So while it may not be for EVERY 19.696.862 (and counting) owner of minecraft they should all, imo, try out Terraria

- stylish oldschool 2D graphics, with modern beautiful lightning effects, actually some of my favourite graphics in a videogame, EVER!

- LOADS of items (2800, more when 1.3 drops)

- lots of debuffs/buffs/enemies

- extreme amounts of gameplay

- lots of cool ideas designed greatly

- 3 difficulty levels

- Rougelike elements including no quick loading, randomly generated worlds (of which you can go between at any time (in the main menu)) and (selectable) permadeath

- moddable (but not on steamworks (google it))

- multiplayer, both co-op and pvp

- what the devs calls "the most amazing update yet to Terraria" coming June 2015 adding features, items, ui/crating optimizations and steamachievements

after 40+ hours I have little more than scratched the surface of what this game have to offer

42+/10 - would empty the beach for sand again
