This is a masterpiece. Despite its flaws, despite its failings, of which I think there are many, I still personally hold the belief that this is by far one of the greatest fictional works to have ever been produced, game or otherwise. Its triumphs are so numerous and splendid that, in my eyes, it outdoes every other game FromSoftware has produced. Yes, there are too many ganks and repeat bosses. Yes, the enemies in some of the game's later areas have damage that is, in my opinion, overtuned. Yet, despite all of that, this is still a game I heartily recommend to anyone willing to give it a try.
